The food here was very good. My Sea Bass was cooked perfectly. They served a generous portion of prime rib and those that ordered it really enjoyed it. The red skin mashed potatoes were tasty. We also enjoyed the family style salad and bread. We plan on returning.

There used to be a time when DeWitt drew people from the Quad Cities and surrounding area. Well.. 21 Chop House is declaring that the dining draw is back! Moderately priced, upscale food – yet inviting for all. We have visited twice and have not been disappointed. My bass has been perfectly cooked each time. A great selection of food and drink. Steak, chops, seafood, or a burger – give them a try, you will not be disappointed. Reservations recommended, especially if you are from out of town.
UPDATE (July 2019) Sad to say things seem to be on a decline. Last few visits, food subpar. Not sure what is going on but things seem to be in transition. Hopefully they get this turned around, DeWitt needs a place like this.

I really, really wanted to like this restaurant. My husband and I went for the first time last night and were very disappointed in the food and service.
My husband ordered prime rib and it had more fat than meat and it was very chewy. I ordered filet mignon (medium) and it was almost raw inside and my baked potato was cold (butter didn’t even melt).
The waiter brought our plates to us and he never returned the rest of the night except to bring the bill. We had to flag down the hostess ( who is amazing by the way) didn’t catch her name but she took my plate to have them recook the steak. She brought it back (still no waiter) and I notice my steak had a bone in it. It was a ribeye not my filet mignon. What the heck!!
The hostess was so apologetic and very helpful but sadly disappointed in our waiter.
It was not that busy, no wait. We will give them a second chance but I really hope it goes better.

6 of us had great meals, all different, at prices that were consistent with other good restaurants. First visit, but we will return. Great environment and very friendly staff.
