As always, the Public Market was busy at noon on a Monday, but service at Forage Kitchen was quick and easy. They are cashless, which helps keep the long lines moving. We chatted with Zach at Forage, and he gave us info about each option, which turned out to be a great idea. The Chicken Bacon Caesar Wrap was FANTASTIC! The ingredients (Romaine, chicken, hard-boiled egg, bacon, everything-bagel sourdough crouton crumble, and Caesar in a flour tortilla) were obviously fresh, and we had it toasted as Zach strongly suggested. There is something with a slight kick that made this one of the best meals we have enjoyed, especially at The Market. The Organic Raspberry Kombucha was our next selection and it was full and interesting.
The pricing is appropriate for a wrap so filled and delicious. If I had had this wrap as a bowl we would also have gotten a slice of bread from Breadsmith.
We grabbed a table upstairs and savored the taste. Plans are already made to come back next week with visiting guests. The outdoor tables would have been great on such a nice day but we wanted to experience the Market and the people.
If you have questions, the staff was busy but willing to help us decide. He gave us great advice for a superb meal.
Another great place for clean food!
The Public Market is a busy place. Accessibility is not always easy as you go from store to store, so the kindness of strangers is necessary. There is an elevator up to the tables as well as the restrooms, which are easy to get into. There is also outdoor seating, which would be a good option if you need more accessibility space.

Their Thanksgiving special is delicious! They are offering it for the month of November. Tofu, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy and cranberries as a bowl. It’s the best of the holidays all in 1 bite. My partner’s dish was completely unremarkable. Not overly friendly or helpful staff.

Highly recommend this delicious spot for lunch or dinner. Each bite was fresh and delicious! I could taste the love, from the farmers, to the awesome people who make this a must stop and eat!

Had the cobb salad. The lettuce was so wet there was a puddle of water at the bottom of the bowl. The hard stem of the avocado was in my salad. The chicken was a weird, shredded stewed meat with very specific seasoning that did not pair well with my cobb or my husband’s “Cesar”. The tomatoes were mushy.I subbed the vinegrette for tzatziki, and I’m not sure what it was, but it wasn’t tzatziki. It was lumpy (curdled?) and flavorless. It was just really gross and expensive.

The man working on 8/6/25 at 11:30 would not let me get an item off the kids menu because I didn’t have a child present with me. —My child was at home waiting for me to bring her food home. But even if I didn’t have a child. I don’t see a problem with ordering off the kids menu? It’s still money in exchange for your goods? I shouldn’t be required to “have a child present” to purchase something? What if someone would want a snack or something small to eat. It’s a shame because my family has spent a lot of money here. Not any longer. This is extra sad as we are a celiac family so we don’t have many options. I’m extremely disappointed!

I was curious about their pressed juice so I stopped to order. I was the only customer in line with 2 employees. I apparently stood in the pick up order area, but when asked if I was picking up I told the employee I was trying to place an order. She went back to making a salad and said just a few minutes. Meanwhile the other worker kept cleaning the glass. I appreciate a clean store, but not that kind of wait. I ordered the juice and was handed a 12 ounce bottled juice for $8!! It was a good juice, but over priced for me. I might try the food one day. We shall see.

Love the food and the options. As someone with a strict diet and food allergies, this place is a no brainer. My only gripe, they do not take cash. I understand their logic, but I skip this place more often than I want because I prefer to pay cash when I have it on hand. And service can be inconsistently slow… in that there are several people working but no one to serve you, while other days its running well.
