If you love bold, authentic Sichuan flavors, Triple Pepper is a must-visit in Houston. We ordered a wide spread and every dish delivered on flavor, quality, and consistency. Highlights included the Spicy Crispy Chicken, Cumin Lamb (spicy), Spicy Dry Pot Shrimp, and the Three Peppers Taro Chicken, each dish was perfectly cooked, deeply seasoned, and had that unmistakable Sichuan heat without being overpowering. The Sweet & Sour Fish was well-balanced, and the Dry-Fried Green Beans were addictive.

The appetizers were equally solid: Chicken Lollipops, Steamed Dumplings, and Cream Cheese Wontons were great starters. We also loved the House Special Fried Rice, Chicken Chow Mein, and ended the meal with desserts like Brown Sugar Rice Cake, Lychee Jelly, and Matcha Coconut Mango.

The ambience is clean and modern, service was attentive. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended if you’re craving authentic, spicy food in Houston.

Shout out to the manager, Emma and Katrina for your service during our visit.

Triple Pepper was pretty good overall, and I would definitely go back. The service was relatively good, and the ambience was really nice. I especially enjoyed the General Chicken and the rice, everything was flavorful and satisfying. The prices were very affordable, which was a pleasant surprise. They do have a couple of small upcharges on certain items, but it was absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. A solid spot that I’d recommend checking out.

Went there as a large group, the waiters were excellent and came by often to ask if we needed anything, the food also tastes awesome! The spice level is not very high, and even people with almost no spice tolerance can eat it. The 口水鸡 was especially delicious, and wasn’t really spicy even though it looked very red.

Very impressed with Triple Pepper. The salt and pepper spare ribs were the star of the show. Compared to other Sichuan restaurants, triple pepper is on the spicier side. Definitely would eat here again!

Had the House Fried Rice with Pan Fried Chickwn Dumplings…the Rice exceptional as its 80% the quality of the Rice and 20% how you handle the Rice and they covered both really well.

Fresh Veggies and Meats as flavor Profile everywhere from the beef to chicken to shrimp and the veggies.

Great Location off Richmond Ave Loop Area and new space with huge bar and booth seating as well as table seating.

Staff exceptional as well…

As someone who has traveled to over 100 countries, the cuisine I miss the most when abroad is always Chinese food. Coming to Houston, I didn’t expect to be so impressed, but this restaurant truly amazed me. The dishes are not only delicious, but also authentically prepared, bringing out the real flavors of China. Every plate feels carefully crafted, from the seasoning to the presentation, and it instantly reminded me of home. What stood out even more was the service—it completely refreshed my impression of how Chinese restaurants abroad can be. Warm, attentive, and professional, it made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you are in Houston, this is a place you absolutely cannot miss.

March 2025 – I live in the neighborhood and ordered takeout from here since they opened this location. The restaurant itself is very nice and spacious and well decorated. It is built out with the right amount of decor and charm to reflect the food served. Dining in is great but the takeout is even better. I order here often and pick up. Service is great. The speed via which they get the order ready is equally fast. The dishes exceptional and a variety to choose from. I would recommend this place for dine-in or takeout. Not disappointed and will definitely order here often. The restaurant is located in a fairly new and modern strip mall with a few other dining options. Ample parking as well. Easy access from Richmond.

Sunday Brunch at Three Peppers — A Lazy Susan Love Story

If you haven’t brunched at Three Peppers off Richmond in Houston, let me just say — I’ve never loved a Lazy Susan like I did that day.

Four couples. Twelve dishes. A semi-private room that felt like our own little world of joy and chopsticks. We ordered everything — from Grandma’s Tofu to the silky eggplant dish, a pot of jasmine tea on rotation, and bowls of steamed white rice like soft little clouds circling the table.

Every spin of that Lazy Susan felt like a plot twist — one delicious surprise after another. The food? Flawless. The service? Attentive and kind without hovering. The company? Laugh-out-loud good.

If brunch had a soundtrack, ours was jazz and joy.
Three Peppers, you’ve earned a permanent spot in our Houston favorites. ️❤️
