Had seen 401k bbq shack when I was pulling in to get my oil change had stop by after my oil change was finished. It was before there opening time but they still severed me great customer great food great atmosphere I got a sliced brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. I’ve had a lot of bbq and this was one of the best and a hidden gems. A nice little “shack” that you’d definitely miss while driving by. The brisket was insanely good and so was the Mac and cheese. The dessert was also great. I would highly recommend checking this place out!!

First visit yesterday and it was outstanding. The smoked bologna sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. Could not believe how much sausage was on the sausage sandwich. Potato salad was great and bbq sauce is perfect! Going back soon!

Amazing BBQ ! Ive been wanting to try this place for a while. The Chopped Brisket sandwich was so good I finished it before getting a picture. The loaded Tater was great also i love the abundance of green onions. I’ll be back its absolutely worth the drive.

Holy brisket, that was the best BBQ I have found north of the Trinity river. My first time here, I decided to go with a personal favorite and had the chopped brisket sandwich, potato chips and a Big Red. It was so good and was made with a generous amount of brisket. And the brisket was tender and delicious. The owner gave us samples of their black eyed peas which was made with their smoked sausage. I am not a fan of blacked eyed peas but these we cooked to perfection. The borracho beans had pork belly, slow cooked and well-seasoned. I wish I could have eaten more but I wad stuffed. Can’t wait to have the leftovers. I will definitely return soon and have the baked potato and pulled pork.

Amazing food! The brisket and pulled pork had a great smoked flavor and their BBQ sauce pairs well with all of it. Generous portions and tastey side options. Definite fiery spicy Mac n cheese. Service was OUTSTANDING!

Great food. Easy. Fast. I would probably prefer to pay less money and get less food on the three meat plate I ordered, but other than that.. This is one of the best BBQ places around. Definitely worth the trip.

Cute little shack. Didn’t have to wait in line but people did start to flow in as we sat down with our food. The meat was tender and juicy. No dryness at all, even the turkey meat! The Mac and cheese was nice although the cheese sauce was thinner than I would like it to be. We really liked the peach cobbler. It comes with a side of blue bell ice cream to eat with it. The potato salad was also delicious. Would definitely stop by again when we’re in the area

The brisket sandwich was delicious, and very generous portions. I bought two sandwiches and put the second sandwich away for later. Robert, the owner, is a really really nice person. If you’re looking for old school Texas BBQ in a super casual place, and good prices, give this place a try. It;s just good BBQ in a cool place to spend some time.

The advertising of this BBQ spot was fantastic. Facebook & Instagram could not stop recommending this place to me. I was in the area so I decided to stop by.
When you first pull in, you pull thru into a beautiful botanical nursery. No, you won’t get your food inside, you’ll pull right up to the front steps of your BBQ joint. There was a nice woman who took my order and I ended up getting the 3 meat plate with 2 sides.
The plate HAD to be 3-5lbs with the sides in. Brisket, Turkey and their Hickory Smoked Sausage. I’m not a huge fan of fatty brisket, and the brisket they provided was more lean. Unfortunately, while it was tender it was just moderate as far as texture went. The turkey was really good, smokey, and juicy. The best might have been the sausage by a long shot.
The spicy macaroni was good but mix it with the brisket and it was bombastic. The BBQ baked beans were also delicious.
All in all this place is good BBQ, probably wouldn’t be in my top five but this place is good…I’d like to come back to try more of what they have. 4 of 5 stars for simplicity, the beauty of where this location is & the people serving the food ❤️
