My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. From the moment we walked through the door, the customer service was excellent. Our waitress and the entire staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient, which made us feel comfortable right away.
The food was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, and you could really tell that care goes into preparing the meals. We were honestly blown away by both the quality of the food and the level of service we received.
We are so thankful for such a wonderful dining experience and are already looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommend!

Ruan Thai Hut is hands down one of our favorite places to eat on Hilton Head! We have been dining there for over 5 years. Whether we dine in or get take out, the Thai food is consistently amazing! It’s fresh, flavorful, and always beautifully presented. It is evident they use quality ingredients and take pride in every dish they serve. Whether it’s the Pad Thai, Massaman curry, or any of the chef’s specials, we’ve never had a bad meal here.
What really sets this place apart is the exceptional service, especially from Goi. Goi is always so friendly, polite, and genuinely attentive. She remembers us by name and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect each time we visit. Her warm energy and professionalism make every meal feel extra special.
The restaurant is also immaculately clean, which adds to the overall comfort of the dining experience. It’s a warm, welcoming environment that makes you feel right at home.

This place had such a great rating, we had to try it for dinner. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, the Fried Rice, the Puffs of Gold, and the Sweet Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. We ordered as take out and ate at home. The positive take aways, are that the portions are large, and the Puffs of Gold were good. The rest of the food was very bland, with very little flavor. The service was adequate, as we ordered take out. Most annoying of all, was that everything cost more than shown in pictures and even their own menus. The side of plain fried rice was listed as $6, and I was told it was $12. The full portion was about $18. I ended up paying $80 for the items listed at the top, which was more than expected. If you’re going to charge over $20 for Chicken Pad Thai, it better be amazing. I double checked their website, and it looked updated, so don’t trust other pictures. I would avoid both of their locations and try something else. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I’m not going to sugar coat anything. Good luck!

Such a nice atmosphere and pleasant surroundings! First time visit not our last. I will make this a part of our itinerary each time we visit Hilton Head. Anna was a very nice waitress and she makes these amazing straw top flowers! am so glad I got a chance to get one of my very own. The food was fresh and delicious. My husband got the fried duck which we usually get at the restaurant in Savannah but he said it was so good! Down to the bone as usual. Nothing left on his plate. I got my usual red curry chicken with black rice. In Savannah there’s not an upcharge but here it was an additional $2.50 More to get the black rice. But it was fresh and delicious. Disappointed they do not have a salad with their entrees. Only a spring roll or TomTom soup. And surprisingly the water was good. The outside sitting area was so relaxing but I found out this a little too late on my way out! Next time we will sit outside and enjoy the beautiful plants. The beautiful waterfall display adds a relaxing feel to an amazing seating area.

What a delicious true Thai cuisine restaurant (I have travelled extensively in Thailand) “Ruan Thai” (translated Thai restaurant) Hut is. It has a great easy access location north Hilton Head Island. The service was spot-on, the appetizers and entrees were served hot and well timed.
This was our first visit to Ruan Thai Hut and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. We ordered hot a tasty Golden Puff (crab pastries) and Egg Roll appetizers served with hot oil sauce. Our two hot entrees were Chicken Pad Thai and Ginger Beef Stir Fry. Both were wonderful. We also appreciated the 4 sauce table set that was presented with our dinner entrees. The Nam Prik and Thai chili sauces were fresh and excellent additions to our dinners.

Great spot! It was recommended to us for the lunch menu, but we went for dinner instead. My husband says it’s some of the best Thai food he’s had, and he’s traveled to the region. My teen girls and I loved the patio’s atmosphere with shade, plants, and chill music. Restrooms were nice. Had a reasonably priced kids’ menu.

Delicious Thai food. Everyone in our group enjoyed what they ordered, especially the first time Thai goers. My husband got chicken pad Thai and I got chicken Massaman curry. Both dishes were delicious and the best we’ve both tasted and we’ve tasted a lot of Thai food! Staff was very friendly!! Be sure to make reservations as the restaurant is small, but this is a must visit if you’re in Hilton Head!
