We had a craving for deep dish pizza and Corner Slice hit the spot! When I say this was absolutely delicious, don’t take my word. One of the best pizzas I’ve had around Atlanta. It wasn’t heavy even being deep dish. I love that you can order by the slice. All the ingredients tasted fresh and it was cooked perfectly. Staff were super friendly and inviting. Already planning our next trip!

Update: so we came back for our second visit. After ordering, we sat down and after a few minutes they gave my food to another table. Horrible. So now I have to wait for another piece to be cooked. Which takes a ridiculous amount of time. Lesson learned here is don’t tip before you get your food. Won’t be back.

My 6 YO son is ADDICTED to pizza! But, im a chef so, it can’t be Little Ceasers. He will spit it out if the taste isn’t right. So, I asked ChatGPT who had the best pizza in Decatur and Crushers was Chats second choice. But based off of the pics, it was the only place I saved to try! JP had a great day today so we stopped in. JP got a Regular sizeDetroit style pizza with mushrooms and olives. I got a slice of the Defiant and 2 Apple Juices. My son that can normally eat a L pizza buy himself barely made it through 3 slices. He loved it! I loved the customer service and the pizza. I asked JP what would he give it on a scale if 1-10. He said a 100 out of 100!

I recently visited Crusher’s Pizza & Wings in Decatur, GA, and I’m genuinely glad I did. In an area with no shortage of pizza options, Crusher’s manages to stand out by focusing on quality, consistency, and doing things the right way rather than cutting corners. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this is a place that takes pride in what they serve.
First and foremost, the pizza deserves the spotlight. Crusher’s specializes in deep-dish pizza, and unlike many places that treat deep dish as an afterthought, this is clearly their strength. The pizzas are custom-made, not rushed, and it shows. The crust is thick without being doughy, with a great balance between crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It has real structure, not the soggy, overloaded mess you sometimes get with deep-dish pizzas. The sauce is rich and flavorful without being overpowering, and the toppings taste fresh and high quality.
The cheese is where Crusher’s really shines. The mozzarella is abundant but not excessive, and it melts beautifully into the layers of the pizza. Every bite feels intentional and well-balanced. This is not cheap, rubbery cheese—it’s clear they’re using high-quality ingredients, and that alone puts them ahead of many competitors. You can tell care went into sourcing and preparation, and that level of quality is increasingly rare.
Beyond the pizza, the mozzarella sticks are excellent. These aren’t the frozen, generic kind you get at many places. The breading is crispy, the cheese pull is exactly what you want, and they’re served hot and fresh. They’re rich without being greasy and make for a perfect appetizer whether you’re dining in or taking food to go.
The cheese bread is another standout item. It’s generously topped, well-seasoned, and baked perfectly. Like everything else, it feels thoughtfully made rather than mass-produced. It pairs wonderfully with the marinara sauce and could easily be a meal on its own if you’re in the mood for something comforting and indulgent.
One thing I truly appreciated is that Crusher’s offers vegan options. This shows they’re paying attention to different dietary needs rather than sticking to a one-size-fits-all menu. It’s refreshing to see a pizza place that makes the effort to include everyone without compromising on quality or flavor.
The staff deserves special recognition as well. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. There was no sense of rushing customers or treating orders like a transaction. Instead, there was real hospitality, which goes a long way in creating a positive dining experience.
Overall, Crusher’s Pizza & Wings delivers on all fronts: high-quality food, excellent deep-dish pizza, strong appetizers, vegan-friendly options, and outstanding customer service. This is the kind of place you’re excited to tell people about after your first visit. I will absolutely be returning, and I highly recommend Crusher’s to anyone in the Decatur area looking for pizza that’s made with care, pride, and real attention to quality.

Where to start, this is hands down the best Detroit slice in ATL, best pizza possibly even. Tried a slice of the defiant (love the Star Trek theme!!) and was blown away by the almost pillowy soft crust with that firm crisp bite at the end. Ingredients were of the absolute best quality. Forgive the half eaten slice picture, it was so good I had to stop half way and rate this 10/10

I think this may be the worst pizza I’ve had in Atlanta.

Where’s the sauce?

Why are all my jalapeños stacked in random corners of the pizza instead of being dispersed?

Where is the chicken I paid for?

Who made this pizza and why did they do such a bad job?

And once again, where’s the sauce????

I order the Mariner, unfortunately I was very displeased with my pizza, it was lacking fresh ingredients and had little to no marinara sauce. I’m a Detroit native and was in search of a good Detroit style pizza. I contacted Crushers once I got home, To inform them about my experience, they were very nonchalant, and told me they needed to see the Pizza in person, I live too far to drive back to show them the Pizza. Their customer service sucks. They were very unpleasant and acted as if they did not care. They could’ve at least offered to Take my name and when I revisit at least offer me a slice of pizza. I informed the gentleman who I spoke with that I will make a review online and he told me OK go ahead…. Very rude!

This is the best Detroit style pizza that my husband and I have ever eaten. They allow custom orders per slice and we were able to get so many fantastic toppings and they were all excellent.
The pizza crust was cooked evenly all the way to the center. The pizza was extremely reasonable for the size of the slice and additional toppings. For six dollars a slice we were able to get a slice of pizza with six toppings.
We would highly recommend this place!

I was genuinely impressed with this restaurant. This isn’t a franchise-style pizza shop; this is a high-end, handcrafted pizza place where every pie is made with precision and care. The garlic parm wings were excellent, and the mozzarella sticks were easily the best I’ve ever had. Based on the flavor and consistency, I’m convinced the ranch and blue cheese are house-made. Overall, this is the best pizza and wings I’ve had since moving to Georgia! We’ll definitely be back!

I was intrigued when I saw the new name and was delighted by the Detroit style pie. If you’re bummed Nina & Rafi closed, this is the place for Detroit Style pizza in Atlanta. I was blown away.

Got a Janeway regular pie (pepper/onions/shrooms/sausage/pepperoni) to go and it stayed crispy after a 20 min ride home. Crunchy/cheesy crust without being razors in the mouth like some Detroit style can be.

I was shocked how soft/pillowy/aerated the crust was so the experience eating it didn’t leave me feeling weighed down by two pieces.

The other nice surprise was the wings were bigger/meatier than I’m used to seeing in Atlanta. Nicely sauced, if anything could’ve taken even more sauce. Lemon pepper was dry rub only (not wet sauce) but still juicy.
