Every time we come to visit family in Bakersfield we drive out to Lamont to La Mina. They have excellent homemade food. We have eaten tamales, menudo, quesa birria tacos, and their breakfast burritos on several occasions. Everything is always hot and delicious. If you have to wait a little it’s because it’s homemade. If you want fast food go down the street.

We tried this for the first time, not a very good experience, we ordered a shrimp taco and got fish taco with a cold tortilla, we complained but lady argued that we had ordered a fish taco, she wanted to switch it to shrimp but we decided to keep it, we ordered mix shrimp, crab tostada, they looked good but the crab salad and octopus were frozen, we complained to the manager/owner, he offered to replace the order with Quesabirria, that took away the bad taste of the frozen sea food, we enjoyed the Quesabirria after all, they should stick to birria plates and forget about sea food.

Don’t know about their food, but the owner refuse to allow people to leave water for dogs that have been abandoned near the restaurant. Just frigging water… during a 114 degree heat wave.

my dad used to always take me here for lunch when I was a kid, the food is good. Never complained about it. I would still go to this place if I’m craving tacos in Lamont. It’s affordable and the staff is friendly

But they are stingy with their green & red sauce
1 green sauce and 1 red sauce for a burrito
They have a sign that says sauce is extra $
But even when you try to buy more they just give you 2 more sauce cup and it’s not enough for a burrito
For some tacos you could do with 2 of each sauce is nearly enough but not for a burrito
This was a take out order
