Wow! I had the pleasure of visiting this incredible place with my family. I chose the neighborhood special (wings, fish, macaroni and cheese, and greens), while they enjoyed the wing basket. The food was incredibly fresh, served hot, and absolutely delicious! We will definitely return! To top it all off, we indulged in desserts – banana pudding cheesecake (chess pie style) and caramel cake.
This place is truly fantastic! The price feels fair for the generous portions and quality, despite what some might say in the comments.

I loved the take-out packaging. Tried the mild wing basket, coleslaw, mac and cheese, collard greens that had a nice piece of turkey in it. It’s good to know they use turkey over pork. I wish that I would’ve tried the hot honey sauce but they charge $1.50 just for a side of sauce. I will say the prices are steep especially for the extra sides but the food is fresh, flavorful and delicious. Too bad I couldn’t get dessert. It looks good but for $7 I can go buy a whole cake matter of fact you can make your own whole cake for cheaper ♀️ Will as you can see the costs on my receipt was enough for me to say I enjoyed the experience but that’s it for me. A non cash fee⁉️is a new made up way to get money. A tip for the beautiful lady at the register. She had a beautiful spirit and that makes a difference in the atmosphere. Thank you

Greens and Mac and Cheese is screaming for some seasoning. The Spicy Catfish was cooked to perfection. The Full Size Chicken Wings had to come from a Baby Chicken as seen in the picture. Add an extra to make up for the small size.

The restaurant is small with limited space for seating. But the ordering process is seamless and proficient. They had good music playing, so you can vibe while you wait. They have a few tables for outdoor seating. Food is fresh and made to order. Great packaging for the take out. The corn and mac n cheese were delicious. Chicken was ok. I didn’t like my chicken laying on the bread as it makes the chicken less crispy.

I ordered a two-piece catfish basket, and my wife ordered a four-piece chicken basket. Each basket includes fries, bread, and pickles.
The place was very popular. Inside, all the tables were occupied. There was standing room only for those waiting for their orders. I ordered take-out.
At home, I was shocked by how delicious everything was. My wife and I shared our orders. Both the chicken and the catfish were fantastic. But so were the fries. I loved the dipping sauces they included. No wonder it was so popular.
That article in Next Door was accurate. This is a neighborhood treasure.
But be warned: don’t go at peak times.

This is a very cozy spot. Seating and tables are limited. The menu is simple and easy to read. The cashier was very polite and patient while taking my order. There is a sign stating that your order could take up to 20 minute. (The kitchen can be seen fromthe counter). There are two tables outside with 4 chairs at each. The food is authentic soul food. The catfish is real. The collard greens were well seasoned and tender. The mac n cheese was very rich and creamy. I tried the red kool-aid. It was how we made it as kids very concentrated. The wings and catfish were well seasoned and fried well. I prefer my food fried medium. It was fried hard but the meat was still tender. Looking for some good soul food, this is a place to put in your restaurant rotation.

This was an experience we went when this place first opened & it was not a good experience. We waited over 3 hours to get our order, literally left & came back. Once we returned it was still an hour wait. The food was ok, not worth the wait. It’s a little pricey , we spent over $100 for 4 people. The catfish was ok, but the spicy catfish was good. The chicken, greens , Mac & cheese all needed additional seasoning. The Tennessee butter cake however saved the day! We will have to come back at a later date to give it another try!

Heard the buzz on this new food place, so me and friends checked it out. This was a Saturday mid-afternoon, and it was busy.
We had heard the greens and Mac and cheese is a must try. However, was told no more greens or Mac and Cheese, this was before my friend paid for both. We did not get to try the greens, but did have the Mac and cheese. And the drink cooler was practically empty, no bottled water just soda and selection very limited.
Overall, the food was good the catfish needed a bit more seasoning, and the fries were good could taste the fried chicken on the fries. I got the 2pc catfish with fries.

Leg and thigh, Mac and cheese, sprite – food okay, chicken has decent seasoning for their taste.

1 order had mac and cheese and coleslaw, – catfish needed more seasoning, chicken small not a lot of meat and the coleslaw very good and could tell it was made fresh. The Mac and cheese was okay not something they would get again.
2nd order had mac and cheese and potato salad – same comments on the seasonings for the catfish, did not like the mac and cheese and shared the potato salad a bit chunky for decent.
The seating is limited and avoid the table in front of the order area, you will feel crowded as people come into place orders. There is not a good queuing line for order placement or pick up.
The service was very good, and the place has nice vibe.

I had the food delivered by Uber. I ordered the mild chicken which has a red dusting on it. I give it a 6/10. Comes with mayo based sauce, I trashed that simply because it’s not my thing. I prefer a Chicago style mild sauce, but moving along. The Mac and Cheese 5/10. The greens are overpowered by the smoked meat 5/10. I appreciated the slice of bread and pickle chips. Would I eat it again possibly, but I would not pay the inflated delivery price again to have it.
