Just so people are aware, this is a “ghost kitchen”. You order, they bring out the order, and you take it home. There is no dine-in option.
That being said, the tacos were excellent. Full of flavor, and reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone.
We are exited, as they are going to be moving to a location on Mount Vernon Avenue (where Two Maine Guys used to be). We are excited to continue to give them business at an actual location. try them, you won’t be disappointed!

I cannot speak highly enough about Taco Rico. As a California transplant, I was lucky enough to grow up with legit Mexican food and tacos are my FAVE!! Moving to Maine has been awesome, but my hubby and I were worried about always having to make our own Mexican food from scratch, UNTIL… I found Taco Rico! They are awesome people, the tacos are fantastic and the salsa is yummy. I always forget to take a photo of the tacos before I devour them, but I’ll try and do so next time and update this review. Shout out to the chefs and team for bringing yummy tacos to Downtown Augusta!

Small limited menu with high prices. Sweet potato was burnt, meat was dry, chorizo was bland, sauces lacking spice, chicken mole is mole seasoning not a mole sauce. Paid extra for cojita cheese on multiple taco orders and received none at all.

I loved the quality, presentation and flavor as well as menu selection. I will ask for slightly less salt next time as I like spice, heat and the raw flavor over salt. Excellent food.

My partner and I ordered Taco Rico for delivery recently and were very satisfied with our food! Our expectations were honestly pretty low because the Augusta food scene is dismal, but their food really surprised us with how good it was, and I would be willing to bet it’s even better when it’s fresh and not delivery. The menu is small but super customizable which I love, and there’s options for any type of dietary need as well. I would to see them expand into a full service restaurant, Augusta desperately needs more good food!

The Birria tacos were decent, very little spice/heat but still tasty. Much to my surprise when I drove there, it’s not a restaurant OR a place where you can walk in. They are a door dash business or online order. They were nice and took a phone order and brought it out to my car. I probably won’t go back since I feel weird about a place I can’t even walk in to.

Have had Taco Rico twice and both times it has been exceptional. It’s hard to find authentic Mexican flavors in the area but Taco Rico hit it out of the park. Certainly will be back for more!
