World class “specials” in downtown Whitewright. We’ve been 3 times & order a chef special everytime. From the steak, chicken & fish/shrimp sections these have truly been 1st class. Wonderful relaxed setting and surroundings. Eric & Veronica will make sure you experience a great time. Best mexican food in Grayson/Collin/Fannin county area. You won’t be disappointed.

4th update! 4 years later and the food is still the best! We are now spoiled and end up judging every other Texmex restaurant to Tejas standards. Stop by and meet Eric and Veronica they are amazing folks!

The food is still the best! Everyone should try the shrimp cocktail! The steaks are perfectly cooked and delicious. The chef’s potato, wow! Still the Go to spot 3 years later!
Update: Tejas continues to set the bar. Their food is simply the best. Shrimp enchiladas, parillada, potosinas, beef fajita chile relleno, cóctel de camarón I could go on and on. They are all excellent!
Excellent customer service. We got to meet chef Eric and wife Veronica who are so genuine and down to earth. His food was delicious and the complimentary drinks were a nice surprise. Can’t wait to visit again and try something new!

I cannot stress enough how much I loved every single bite of this meal. I got the Chef’s Special Enchiladas and absolutely inhaled them. The taste, the texture- all of it was just right. I adored the chili con carne most of all! Every time I visit this place I leave blown away and happily full. I heavily recommend anything with the chili, or honestly, anything on the menu. ✌️

My waitress is the best. She makes sure you are good and she checks on you constantly. The food is amazing. The owner and his wife they care about their customers and they make sure you’re satisfied.
