This place has that classic ramen spot vibe — lots of wood paneling, deep browns and greens, and some cozy booth seating mixed with regular tables and chairs. The lighting’s warm and pretty inviting, giving the whole place a chill, laid-back feel.
Service was decent — nothing super memorable, but friendly enough and everything came out in a reasonable time.
We tried the Mongolian Bowl and the General Tso’s Chicken. Both had a nice kick of spice and were surprisingly flavorful. Definitely a good hit if you’re craving something bold and saucy.
One of the more unique touches: each table has a sketchbook where you can doodle or check out what others have drawn — super fun and gives the place some personality. And if you’re into anime, you’re in luck. Posters line the walls and there’s anime playing on the TVs, which adds to the quirky, playful vibe.
Cool little spot overall. Not mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable, especially if you’re into anime or just want a casual meal in a cozy setting.

The atmosphere was so nice, decorated in anime related stuff and they played Korean music as well as other songs in general. The food was good and filling, the serving portions are just right or more than expected. There are sketchbooks on the table you can draw on which makes eating there more fun. Overall highly recommend this place!

This was a very cool little spot. I really liked that the booths had sketch books to keep guest occupied while waiting for their food. As for the food it was fantastic, I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and the Kimchi Fries. The kimchi fries are next level. Will definitely be visiting this location again.

I started coming here around the time they first opened (2023 I think?) and honestly the food is really good. It is a little pricey I will admit, so I can’t afford to come here often. I typically get their brown sugar milk tea, I highly recommend shaking it a lot and holding it upside down so the brown sugar can distribute well. I used to get their poke bowls, nowadays I get their ramen. Its very customizable and filling, I usually have leftovers. I personally prefer sitting in vs taking it to go. I will let you know if you aren’t a fan of spinach, for some reason they always put an absurd amount of spinach in. I’d highly recommend asking for light spinach because I’m someone who loves spinach but am usually picking out a lot of it. Its really great sitting in though because the booths are really private. They have board games and anime playing on the tv. Sometimes the staff is really friendly, sometimes it might just be one of those days for them.

I love ramen. And this place has good ramen! Tried the tonkotsu ramen, the takoyaki, and gyoza, and it was all delicious. Totally didn’t think the chill oil they gave me would me spicy and poured it all in. And boy! Let me tell you it has a good kick. Had Naruto Shippuden on the TV. Food was fast, fresh and delicious! A little pricey but it’s ok. The restaurant was cozy too.

First time having ramen and I must say, I’m glad that we came to Gung-ho! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Nicely designed and even nicer food! If you’re in the area, it’s worth a try

Impressive first visit. Nice atmosphere. The ramen and appetizer we ordered were good. Love the lightings. Even have a scratch book while you wait. And 2 tvs showing anime! Noisy though since noise is contained.

We just got back from Japan over the weekend and due to our crazy itinerary, we were unable to make it to a really good ramen shop–Gung Ho genuinely helped make up for that. I have had ramen in many regions and this is definitely my favorite in the western suburbs so far. I got the tonkotsu and boyfriend got the Goku ramen. The noodles are perfect, the broth is flavorful and delightful, the chashu is the perfect doneness and thickness and the miso egg done right. I wasn’t crazy about the amount or flavor of the bamboo, but the rest of it more than made up for it.
The atmosphere is great, good music and service and I loved the sketchbooks and colored pencils on the tables. Love this place! Thank you for your hard work!

Solid place for ramen and bubble tea, but the prices are a bit on the hefty side. Also the fried chicken wasn’t all that tasty, and the boba wasn’t very customizable from the menu that I saw.
I like the fact that they have games to play and stuff to draw in, but the seats are super uncomfortable and make it hard to want to actually sit and enjoy a meal.
Food was pretty standard but didn’t stick out to me as “woah that was an amazing bowl of ramen”
