Come enjoy Racine’s famous Chartroom Chicken and our classic Wisconsin Fish Fry. Since opening in August 2023, we’ve proudly served the community with what many call the best chicken in Racine. Our menu includes steaks, seafood, burgers, gluten free options, and more. Try our Horlick Hard Malt desserts for a true taste of Racine history. Enjoy live music every Saturday from 7pm to 10pm in a relaxed riverfront setting. Kitchen hours: Sun, Tue, Wed, Thu 11am to 8pm and Fri, Sat 11am to 9pm. Bar open daily 11am to close. On 1/31 we went to The Chartroom for dinner. We had not been there since the 1990’s when we were dating. Saw the great posts on Facebook and thought we would check it out. Nice environment and great service by our waitress. The food was awesome! Hot and well presented. Bruschetta appetizer was fresh and flavorful. The vegetable side with the main meal was incredible but could use a little less oil. Rice and garlic mash potatoes fantastic! Ginger chicken breast and tenderloin medallions flavorful.
The manager was attentive and invited us to stay for drinks and the entertainment. Entertainment was great!
We will be back again and won’t wait for so long to return!

Our experience was perfect! The ambiance was exactly what we were hoping for, the music was really good as well. Our waitress, Drea was superb! She was extremely attentive and gave really good recommendations for us to try. The fish fry was 10/10! Drinks were great and you should absolutely get the Horlick’s chocolate malt to end your visit. Will definitely be back for future date nights.

I stopped here for the first time with my kids. They ordered the shrimp and Mac n cheese, and absolutely loved it. I ordered the BYO chicken sandwich and was also thoroughly impressed.
Our waitress Katie F. And Jenny were incredible as well. Extremely attentive, timely and was great with my kids. Definitely will be back.

Decided to head to the water in Racine because the weather was unexpectedly beautiful and this seemed like a nice place for a fish fry. We were greeted by the most polite and welcoming gentleman as a host. He offered us our choice in booths and we were seated quickly.
Although it was Friday and we tried to be understanding of the larger than most weekday crowds, we felt the food service didn’t match the warm welcome from the host. We watched other tables receive a fair amount of attention, even visits from the cooks, but we were not checked on and when we flagged someone down for refills on drinks, and a missing condiment we had requested, they offered but ultimately forgot so we went without. This service level for the price was discouraging.
After dinner, we waited a very long time hoping to get a To-Go box and our bill. Our bill was quickly dropped at the table finally with an, “I’ll be right back for that”, as the server skirted off before we could ask for the box. Another member of the waitstaff noticed and went for a box.
We get “busy”, trust me, but it should have been better. Maybe just an off night for our server??
Anyways- the food… it will tempt us to give the place a second chance. We each had a special that was offered with a side salad add on. The walleye was breaded lightly and the fillet was large and flavorful. The baked cod was perfect and a nice sized portion. The veggies were cut fancy, a nice variety and well cooked. The fries were crisp and hot. The side salads were delicious and colorful. Everything was a nice variety and provided a color and flavorful balance.
Although disappointed by the table service on this occasion , the very kind host and the quality of food will likely convince us to give Chartroom another try- especially considering they have outdoor seating and it will be nice to have quality food, on a deck by the lake. Hopefully this can be updated to five stars in the near future.

My best friend and I decided to try Chartroom after many many years since our last dining experience there. First thing we noticed was the entranceway was not cleared of snow which would have taken someone there less than 3 minutes to do. Secondly after walking inside, it appears there should be a hostess but no employee was present. We waited a bit before asking a table of 8 if we’re just supposed to seat ourselves and was advised to pick one of many empty tables during prime lunch time. The waitress appeared about 5 minutes after we seated ourselves. The food we ordered came quickly. Both of us felt the food was ok but not great enough to return anytime soon. The waitress did come back while we were eating to see if everything was OK but then we didn’t see her until it was time for the check. We weren’t asked if we wanted refills on our sodas. We observed the waitress spent alot of time in the kitchen. A family came in after us and also stood around waiting for someone to seat them. There are plenty of other great restaurants in the downtown area that I’d recommend over Chartroom.

We had a wonderful experience at Chartroom in Racine! The food was incredibly tasty and clearly made with care—everything we ordered was delicious. The service truly stood out: our server was exceptionally kind, accommodating, and very generous, making us feel welcome from start to finish. To top it all off, Santa even stopped by our table with a small treat, which was such a fun and memorable surprise. Chartroom offers great food, amazing service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
