The worst possible food and please don’t order lemon rice (I believe a whole bottle of lemon was poured). The food is old and my wife got a bad belly due to the same.
The guy at the front is rude and never communicates. The main focus for him would be to put the tip screen in-front. I mean for disposable containers and me getting my food from the counter, it’s better to just remove the tip screen.
Overall , the food is bad and so is the experience. There are a lot of better Indian restaurants in the city and of course the name of the shop doesn’t live up to it.
Unfortunately, I could see comments from months ago, but sad to share that nothing has changed.

The food was very low quality and tasted sooo bad. I would give them negative rating if it was possible. DON’T TRY THEM JUST DON’T. I don’t have words to explain how bad the taste was. Do not waste your money

The restaurant is very small and well decorated. The food selection is varied, with some Thai dishes. We ordered three dishes: a fish dish, a potato dish and a chicken dish. All were excellent, and made mild.

If you’re in the mood for a burnt dosa cooked in what tastes like reused, burnt oil, then Taste of India is the place for you. Unfortunately, this restaurant does a disservice to the rich and flavorful cuisine India is known for. It’s disappointing to see such poor quality associated with the name of our beloved country. I hope they take feedback seriously and make much-needed improvements.

After seeing all the negative reviews, I still wanted to give this place a shot because I love South Indian food. I tried the biryani, and it met my expectations. If you ask me where to get Indian food, 9 times out of 10, I’d choose this spot. Don’t let the negative reviews fool you; the South Indian food here is legit. This isn’t a paid review—I just moved to Halifax and am trying out different places. My office is in downtown, so it’s convenient too. Cheers!

The food is delicious, and the service is great. Our waitress, Pooja, made the experience pleasant with her calming energy. However, the ambiance and atmosphere don’t match the rising prices which is unfortunate because my family and I used to come more regularly before, but cannot anymore due to the rising price.
