What to eat: well, everything you can, as they have these house specialty platters called “Darbar specials” with mixed seafood- grilled fish with crispy prawns & grilled chicken items. The goat dum briyani was the ultimate with the right amount of spices & tender meat. I must say, they are the best authentic hyderabadi restaurant on Indian market. We really enjoyed the food & would definitely recommend and would like to visit again when we are in Jersey city.

Arrange my daughter’s birthday party at Biryani darbar, I must say all guest enjoyed food thoroly and everyone talk about food specially non veg dishes , Fahad and all staff were really helpful. I highly recommend this place for small party and food.

We visited this place in July 2020 for the first time when we were in Jersey city. Being Biryani lovers, the name “Biryani Darbar” sparked quite some interest. We went in and placed an order for some of the usual Mughlai items (Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken etc) and the Darbar Boneless Chicken Biryani.
While the the Mughlai stuff was good, what really took us by surprise was the Biryani. The chicken was tender, well seasoned and the rice was flavored beautifully as well. We loved it so much that we found an opportunity to travel down to Jersey city again just to get our hands on that Biryani one more time !!
So if you are looking for a place to get some good Biryani, I would highly recommend giving this place a shot.

A truly authentic Indian restaurant in new jersey city. This restaurant uses fresh chicken, and every bite of food will tell you that. The quality of food is excellent. The spices used will surely remind you of the Indian heritage of taste and spices. The restaurant stands by its name in that the Biryani at this place is so good that it has a rich flavor with roasted chicken pieces and real dum. I am just in love with this place. Try it once, and I am sure that you will have the same opinion as me.

It is not easy to find a good indian restaurant with the actual flavors from India. My boyfriend (he is half-Indian) and I went and we really enjoy their food. Their butter chicken is yummy!! and their biryani is properly cooked, again, something that is not easy to find.

Biryani Darbar is one of my favorite restaurants on Newark Ave – their Hyderabadi biryani is flavorful and each bite makes you want to eat more. I had recently ordered take out – got a Gobi appetizer the Chicken Biryani. Very quick service and their staff are very friendly. Definitely going back 🙂
