My cousin absolutely loves this place. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t the best, and I’d have to give it a 3.5 stars at most. We started with fried pickles for the table, but to our surprise, they never arrived. My cousin ordered a chicken quesadilla, her husband had a burger, I ordered a burger as well, and my partner went with a deconstructed salad.

While the food that eventually arrived was good, the wait was painfully long. By the time my cousins finished their meals, we still hadn’t received ours. Ee ended up reorderin the pickles which only takes 2 mins to fry, regardless it was just a disappointing experience all around. The food’s quality was decent, but the service and timing made it not worth the wait.

Overall, it’s a place with potential, but unfortunately, the service needs some improvement to match the quality of the food.

Ordered the Bourbon Chicken and Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño/Appetizer. Both were excellent. I’ve ordered their salad with grilled chicken on a prior visit, also excellent. Great service as well.

Miesha with Offline – This spot was quite lively for a Monday night…. A good vibe. The staff was polite and friendly. We choose to sit at the bar. We had the fried pickles and the crack fire. Batter on the fried pickles was really good. For my meal, I order the quarter wedge salad w/ahi tuna and hubby got the Chicago Beef w/fries. One of the better wedges I’ve had in the triangle.

Small kinda bar/restaurant. Wasn’t too packed but we also went about two hours before closing. I ordered the fish and chips which was flavorful but it kept falling apart – I literally had to scoop up the breading and fish with my fingers. Fries were good but not seasoned. Now I’m not a drinker but sometimes I like to try things and both of these drinks were disgusting to me – they tasted like perfume. One was a coffee type liquor and the other was a blackberry bramble. My son said his chicken wrap was delicious.

Sports bars usually have the same type of atmosphere and have food as an afterthought. The Pickled Onion isn’t that type of place. The staff is very attentive and friendly. That same excellent service is equal to the food they serve. The burgers are, quite possibly, the best I’ve had in my life. I’m not a svelt man and I’m a burger snob. The brisket is as good as you’re going to find this side of the Rio Grande. The onion rings are amazing, but, in all honesty, you can skip the fries. They’re not bad, but they’re just okay. And no adult should feel shame in ordering their chicken tenders. Catch a game. Clean your plate. Generously tip your server.

Andres with Offline – My wife and I love the Pickled Onion. The foodi is good, the beer and wine are good and they have good weekly specials. Service is always great. About 4 different waiters and waitresses check on you all the time. Great place for a nice casual dinner and to watch some sports.

We have eaten here many times and the food and service have always been good…until our recent visit on 10/12/2025. As usual, the food was very good….however, I am not impressed by servers who think they can remember a table’s order without writing it down. Anytime I get sever who chooses not to write the order down, there is almost always something wrong with the order.

My daughter hates tomatoes. She specifically requested “NO TOMATOES on her salad. They were mixed in, so she didn’t see them right away and only noticed when she bit into one. She tried to pick around them, but they were diced….so it was near impossible.

I would have complained right away, but the server didn’t come back to the table for about 10 minutes. I did notify him when he did come back, and the best he could do was “OH….Sorry!”.

On a side note….it is illegal for a business to charge the extra credit card fee when the customer is paying with a debit card (Google it….it’s there in black and white). They did that too.

We will go back….but I hope the business reads these reviews and requires their servers to carry an order pad. Also….implement the correct rules on Debit Card Purchases.

Happened by recently when hungry and looking for somewhere around where we were to eat… decided to pop in for late lunch since we were so hungry and ready for anything at point.
We were seated right away by friendly hostess… then menus brought by waitress (so sorry I forgot names by the time I got around to doing this review!). I always give bonus points when I ask for orange for my tea instead of lemon, and get accommodated on that with more than some dinky little piece of orange for a ginormous tea! It was a nice large glass, but several slices of orange. So I was happy right away.

My friend and I decided to share a wedge salad and 10 wing option. The waitress suggested we get the whole wedge (since 2 of us) instead of the quarter. OMG… I brought home over half that salad and ate on it for 2 days so next time we’ll just get the quarter.

The wings… oh the wings! We got sauces on the side (she brought us each the one we wanted… a sweet chili sauce and a teriyaki)… those wings were SO crispy crunchy yet moist and delish inside! Perfect wings. Along with nice crispy celery and dip’n dressing for those. Wings are one of those things you just don’t know what you’re gonna get till you get ’em. We’ve already talked about going back there since we know we liked theirs… and not too far away too.

AND… you can, for a couple extra dollars, get all flats or all drums! Great for those of us like me that want all flats!!

Unfortunately I forgot pics until almost done… we chowed down when all that good stuff was placed before us!

Def recommend a visit here… and will def go back!
