Local legend that didn’t quite live up the hype. The loaded bbq nachos & bread were delicious, but both of the main dishes fell short. Ribs were pretty mediocre in taste & tenderness. The sides also were super underwhelming. Had to sit at the bar top with quite a lot of people crammed into the small counter. Didn’t get a refill. Priced a bit beyond its execution. Way too much crammed into a tiny dining room.

We drove from Richlands to Tazwell and found this restaurant which is off the beaten path. We had a party of four for dinner. We had made reservations and I recommend that because the place was crowded. It’s so decorative inside and the staff was very welcoming. We placed are order. We had the pork barbecue and fish ( Friday special) Even with the place being packed with customers our food arrived fairly quickly. The meals were delicious, the portions were big and the price very reasonable. It’s such a great place to eat and we will visit again.

Really good food and huge portions! We got 3 dishes to share between 4, and it was more than enough. The mushroom side was to die for!!!

Excellent food with huge portions. The food is home cooked and just simply put amazing. Our food was served nice and hot with a smile.
Call and make reservations as this restaurant is quite small and books up quickly.

Came here on the recommendation of a local guy and man did it not disappoint!!! This is one of those local places that have the best food and best service! The waitresses were very kind, enjoyable, and went above and beyond everything you want in a superb family restaurant. The food was unique and delicious. I got the Sweet Potato Spud stuffed with BBQ pork topped with sour cream and green onions with a size of Sweet and Sour Beans. I normally don’t like sweet potatoes and anything other than baked beans but this was off the chart! I’ve never had a food experience involving BBQ that was this good at any other restaurant!
I could go on and on about how good this place is and how badly I want to go back. I’ll definitely make this a stop next time I’m anywhere near Tazewell.

This place was so adorable with great food and a great staff! We decided to stop last minute, so we did not have a reservation. It was very crowded and our wait was about an hour. However, we did not mind waiting because we had heard such great reviews. The staff worked quickly to take care of all customers seated and those waiting to be seated. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. It is worth the wait.
