I come to Kingman every other month for work. I wanted Italian and this place came up, there’s no bar seating, which, in my opinion is easier when youre alone so I was reluctant to go. I went anyway and am GLAD I did.

They had a cute little table with one chair for me …

The fresh bread with butter OR the oils was phenomenal

The lemon drops… yes plural.. were AMAZING

The Bolognese was… The BEST..
I was today years old in this restaurant when I learned I’ve never had fresh pasta.

The staff was engaging and so friendly.
I had sauce left and one of the ladies recommended I take it back to my hotel and gave me fresh bread to go with.

Wow! I underestimated what Kingman had to offer. This place has changed me.

I wish there were 10 stars…

Was only in town for a couple of days and looking for a good place to eat that was intimate lit and had great food. This place was it it’s not huge, but it’s so charming and they had an incredible selection to choose from. We ended up getting a couple of appetizers, the veal and Pasta with a good bottle of wine. We finished it off with a tiramisu and a Keylime pie. Everything was delicious and nothing disappointed. The manager even let us go in their wine cellar and pick out a bottle of wine for dinner. Everything was just delicious. So good it’s worth going back for!

Food was amazing. I liked the bread they served initially so much that i had very little space in my tummy to eat the main dish. The bread they serve is the highlight. I took a pasta and it was delicious. The restaurant is clean and the ambience is exactly suits an Italian dining. I would love to have food again here.

I had the best meal I’ve eaten in quite some time. I can’t remember the name but it was a pork special. My dad had the Dean Martin and loved it as well. We both thoroughly enjoyed the key lime pie.
Every morsel was delicious.

Had reservations for a birthday, come ever year to this restaurant. I am shocked how bad it has become. The waitress was horrible never came back for salt/pepper, refills, to see if our food was ok or anything. Had to flag down other staff to find her.
The salad was not worth 9.00 it used to be way bigger, let’s just say for a upscale restaurant you should get the portions you are paying for, plus the service you have grown to know. The main entrees came and the filet mignon was bloody red not medium it was mooing. Of course we couldn’t complain because we had Houdini’s sister as our waitress.
Sad sad only good upscale restaurant in Kingman Arizona and its gone way downhill.
Service is what you expect when you pay $100.00 and the food portions should be adequate. You shouldn’t have to wave a flag for refills, bread or a simple how is everything when your food gets tasted.
Won’t be back so much for impressing anyone who comes to Kingman to visit.
Pass this on by.. unless you want to pay high prices with no service or portion size for your money.

It’s so rare to find an Italian restaurant that truly goes out of their way to be gluten-friendly — and this place absolutely does! They not only offered gluten-free pasta substitutes, but even brought gluten-free bread for the table, which is almost unheard of. As someone who usually has to miss out on bread service and pasta dishes, it felt amazing to be able to enjoy the full experience without worry. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the staff was so thoughtful. If you’re gluten-free (or dining with someone who is), this is a gem. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is more than delicious, the vinaigrette with basil wow really impressed me. You get the whole lamb rack with a delicious mushrooms salsa, the bread and butter . My husband eat the filet mignon with potatoes so good.
Great service and incredible good food.

Heard good things about this place. What a huge disappointment. Made reservations for a party of 8. My food when it came out was cold. The soup, potatoes and chicken were cold. The chicken had way too much sauce which converted the taste of the chicken which was very bland and I thought was not fully cooked. Didn’t eat any of it. My granddaughter steak I believe was set off to the side she had the medallions and the cheese spread was hard on top of the steak again like warm only because the steak was cooked to medium well. I would not go back again.
The service was friendly enough but when she asked everyone how it was no one said a word and could tell she knew we were disappointed. My husband gobbled down his steak but he’ll eat anything.

Mattina’s, Italian Resteraunt is one of Kingmans hidden secrets. Hidden on a back street off route 66, its an old home turned into a quaint italian style resteraunt. We had 530 reservations for 6 celebrating our nieces 30th BDay. They put us in the quietier back room which was very thoughtful. 4 of us ordered a coctail from there specialty cocktails, I had a Tiramasu martini that was delicious but potent. Among the other drinks were a lemon drop their version of a moscow mule and their version of a old fashion, all very good. They have a great choice of menu items from lamb chops to sea bass, The food is an elevated menu without an elevated price. They are busy on the weekend so the kitchen is a little slow, but well worth the wait. I highly recommend Mattina’s, you won’t be disappointed.
