I am honestly amazed by the service I received at Shayu by Ray at the front counter. He was kind and helpful with me looking at the menu. I ordered a House Singapore Noodle with no veggies and less spicy. When I received the order he was kind enough to make sure it met my expectations and had them remake my order for me a little more spicy than last and the food came out perfect. By far the best Singapore noodle I’ve had to date I will be coming back again. Don’t mind the messy plate that is from me chowing down.

Driven by this place often when it was Jason’s and noticed the signage change and decided to check it out for dinner. A “looked to be new” renovation which made it very enjoyable as everything seemed new, neat and clean. The bar was busy for an early Friday night which was a good sign. They do a very large take out business so our entrees were impacted in terms of timing but nothing too bad, again, another good sign. So our apps consisted of Nim Chow, hot & sour soup and vegetable steamed dumplings. Everything was surprisingly excellent as I guess I was somewhat skeptical on how good it would be. As an aside, the cocktail I had was pretty good, a spicy passion fruit margarita. For our entrees, we had the chicken lettuce wraps, which were overly salty, but most places have this issue. My dish was the Mongolian beef with a side of brown rice and it was outstanding. I would definitely go back and grab a seat at the bar and eat there.

It was easy to order online. The person assisting me was friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. I really enjoyed their Japanese udon noodles with beef, they were cooked well and super tasty and garlicky! The crab rangoons were also cooked very well. The spicy tuna sushi was well presented and very good! I was not a fan of the pan fried dumplings as they were super overcooked. The Mongolian beef was nicely presented with the chili peppers and jalapeños but there was some small rice noodles (I think), like a little amount in it which was different as most Mongolian beef usually are no carb. The beef itself was okay. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would like to try more specialty rolls next time!

Excellent food, service, and drinks! Highly recommend – their staff were super friendly, food was fresh and flavorful, and their drinks were stiff. The Mai Tai, Five Spice Calamari, Crazy roll, Gozilla roll, and Mini Me rolls were all fantastic.

I usually do take out from this place. Today we decided to dine in for my daughter’s birthday. The service was really great. He helped make her birthday a special one. I’ve been tired with nursing school, so I went there for a simple eat in and out. But he went out of his way and brought her ice creams with a candle. Very grateful

Ordered take out via Grub Hub. Food came cold which can be no fault to restaurant however the food was rubbery and tasteless. Ordered the worst fried rice I ever had, worse sesame chicken (tasted like microwave) and basil chicken that tasted spicy yet somehow managed to have no taste otherwise. I paid $24 a dish for something with flavor. I wish I did takeout pretty much anywhere else.

The sushi was good, but the other food did not seem to be fresh or well prepared. The shrimp nime chow and Pad Thai were disappointing. In my opinion, there are many other great options in this area in terms of quality and price.

While strolling around the area, we spontaneously opted for lunch at a nearby spot. Our order included an assortment of sushi, teriyaki chicken, noodles, and dumplings. Personally, I found the firecracker sushi and noodles particularly delightful. The dumplings weren’t to my taste, but my wife thoroughly enjoyed them. All in all, it turned out to be an exceptionally pleasant dining experience.

Delicious delicious sushi!!!! I trust their food over all the other asian cuisine in RI. Always had an enjoyable chopstick dinner, and a fully belly. But their wait time is CRAZY! I was told 10-15 mins. I showed up around the 15 minute mark only to wait another 30 mins before my food was ready. Which honestly is worth the wait, but not worth the lie. Now i know that if i order ahead, it needs to be a half hour and change early. Very friendly staff & clean, quiet place to dine!
