Excellent crispy pork, crispy chicken, and “hainanese style” chicken over steamed or garlic rice, they also have dry garlic noodles and soup based noodles. Service is attentive, parking available in nearby motel lot. Sauces are excellent! We also ordered the fried tofu (super spicy and peppery) and crab rolls. Not too many tables so it can get crowded, sometimes prefer to order pick up take out as they pack the food very well with all the sauces included.

I’m not sure why I originally marked Heng Heng down as a spot to check out but I’m glad I did. Heng Heng is a phenemonal restaurant with great staff and even better food.

This is a blink and you’ll pass them little corner shop next to The Dixie Hollywood Hotel. Parking at first seems limited but the restaurant has placards you can hang in your car if you have to park in the Motel’s parking lot so don’t let the street parking discourage you. They’re also just right around the corner from the Hollywood/Western Metro stop.

While Heng Heng doesn’t have a ton of seating inside their food is so good if you have to wait for a table(which I haven’t had to experience just yet) it is DEFINITELY worth it. I tried their Chicken with Garlic Noodles and it blew me away. Very flavorful and a generous portion for a phenomenal price. I also ordered their Chicken wings and they didn’t disappoint. Crispy on the outside with a steaming hot perfectly cooked inside.

While I don’t live nearby I’ve already made the trek several times to get Heng Heng to go. If you are ever near Hollywood or Thai town, do yourself a favor and stop by Heng Heng Chicken Rice!

When you’re in the mood for Hainan chicken, but don’t want to go all the way to SGV and then come to Heng Heng instead. They have your traditional poached chicken and then also offer alternatives like their crispy chicken and crispy pork belly.

A must get is their garlic noodles which is fragrant and garlicky and I think better than the garlic rice.

Heng Heng Chicken Rice is a small restaurant with a cozy Thai urban vibe that feels welcoming as soon as you walk in. The portions are generous for the price, and everything tastes fresh and satisfying. Definitely a great value!

Parking is also easy — you can park at the neighboring hotel’s lot and get complimentary validation, which is super convenient.

Overall, a solid place for a hearty meal. I’ll be back to try more dishes next time!

When we went they were already out of Hainan chicken so we got crispy pork and fried chicken. The dipping sauce that came with crispy pork has a nice refreshing taste and a spicy kick to it. Highly recommend!

⚠️Too delicious!
⚠️Flavorful
⚠️Crispy coating
Ohh they give out soup…

I suggest to put the veggies under the wontons in to the soup for more umami

Based on the reviews I was super expectant and excited.

Was let down by its namesake – white chicken + crispy pork belly rice was not good. Chicken was dry and the rice was not authentic hainan chicken rice.

The only saving grace of the meal were the egg noodles which were decently flavoured.

Will not return.

Had it tagged after recommendation from a Thai friend. Finally made it there for lunch on a Saturday just after they opened. Place tends to get crowded by like 12p.

The server lady recommended checking out their social media page to get some special deal, which worked out well. Got the Zaab Chicken with garlic rice, crispy chicken, chicken soup, and a Hainan chicken with garlic rice. Everything tasted very good. The Zaab Chicken had so much flavor.

Large portion sizes, pretty attentive and helpful service, and yummy food. Would highly recommend.

Oh the Thai tea was really good too. Coffee was a little too sweet for us.

This adorable Thai restaurant in the Thai town exceeded my expectations. Ample street parking and a cozy setting make it a perfect spot.

The portions are generous and looked amazing. I devoured the crispy chicken and crispy pork belly combo – both were crunchy and mouthwatering. I am usually not a big fan of rice, but this garlic rice was easy to polished it off!

The crab roll we ordered was okay. It didn’t really stand out compared to the chicken or pork belly.

Overall, the food was authentic, delicious, and satisfying. I’ll definitely be back to try the Hainan chicken and Zaab chicken next time. Don’t miss out on this quaint little spot – it’s a must-try for Thai food lovers!

I was extremely hungry and had seen this spot on my way to Ralph’s.

This is one of those locals love it type of spots. The traffic was very steady and the staff seem to know everyone coming in to order.

The entire staff here were super friendly and polite. They don’t mind helping you with the menu if it’s your first time.

The Garlic Noodle w/ Crispy Chicken meal was my favorite. Although the Hainan chicken rice is really good, I wouldn’t go back for it.

You have to try the Garlic Noodle w/ Crispy Chicken. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed.

The Panda tea has a unique taste but I liked it a lot.

I would highly recommend a stop to this spot.
