I came here for the vegan options and their menu was easy to read. Although, I must have been looking at an older image of a menu on Yelp because vegan options were limited. But they existed.
I ordered a vegetable pakora and a vegetable curry. I was asked what level heat from 1 to 5. I said 4 because I like a little inferno in my mouth. And the heat level 4 was a negative 6 for me. So next time, I’ll ask for level 12.4. Now, I know I’m a white girl but this girl and take some scorch. I was a little disappointed in the heat level being so low.
My vegetable pakora was well done (pics). I was also the only person in the dining room on a Sunday night. Maybe the cook had to check a text and forgot about the well done pakora in the fryer.
I’d consider giving them another try but would give another place a go first. I’m obsessed just with Indian food and love it so much. My favorite place is in Windsor on the green. Its just a trek for me.
Many Indian food choices are available here, surprisingly Indian food got fried rice, I guess this has been localized, overall the price is acceptable. Service is good.
Visit during dinner time, surprised not many people in the restaurant, I believe mostly they are doing take away orders.
The chicken tasted like it was frozen past its prime, and the flavor of the marsala was like a spicy tomato soup.
It really lacked the many vibrant flavors that are characterized in a great Chicken Tiki Marsala. Was highly disappointed…
However, the Samosa’s and garlic Naan bread were good.
I had an amazing experience at Cumin Indian Nepalese Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. Every dish was fresh, well-presented, and reminded me of home-style cooking with a fine-dining touch.
The service was excellent, and I especially want to mention Binod, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations from the menu. It really showed that he cares about the guests and their satisfaction.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, perfect for both family gatherings and casual dining. Everything felt very clean, comfortable, and inviting.
Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Indian and Nepalese cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
We were a group of 5 friends and we ordered a lot of food as we were very hungry. The service was swift and cordial.
We also ordered gulab jamun and rice pudding for desserts. No where in California I have eaten proper authentic North India desserts like this.
10/10 Recommend.
