Bartender is so friendly and nice! She provided great recommendations to my friends and I for drinks. She was funny and sincere and totally made our night out the best we’ve had in ages! Pizza was stellar, bartender was THE BEST, and the karaoke DJ was GREAT! This is the best place in Ballard for a night out. Totally reminds me of the 90s scene I miss so much from way back. Whoever puts together the playlists for Friday and Saturday nights is definitely speaking my language. Keep it up, Veras! You’ve got the food, the booze, the music, and the vibe down.

Was severely underwhelmed by the quality of the pizza. Maybe I was just reading into things but I kind of felt like the staff was a little bit rude to me too. After reading through the reviews though I think maybe is was an actual vibe I was picking up on. As a queer person I felt a little uncomfortable and like all of the responses from staff were a little more curt than they needed to be. Will not be coming back here unless it’s opposite day, i.e. all bad food tastes delicious.

Terrible night out at Vera’s. Not only is the pizza subpar, but my group felt very disrespected. In a group that is not predominantly white, the bartender served my friends a drink, then 5 minutes later turned on the lights and kicked everyone out. He told us to, “go home and watch the diddy documentary”. We asked if we could finish (less than half) of our drinks and he refused and told us to get out. This was at 1:00am. Don’t serve people if you won’t let them finish the drink they paid for, giving only 5 minutes. I live in Ballard and have a great time at all of the bars, except Vera’s. Felt very uncomfortable and disrespected when we were all just trying to enjoy our night. Not worth the visit, there’s better bars and better pizza in Ballard. It sucks that the bar tending staff can make a place not worth revisiting.

Went here for a fun night out with my friends and the service was absolutely awful. The man behind the bar was extremely rude to both me and the people sitting next to me and kept suggesting that the food and drinks that we paid for were not ours (we had receipts to prove it and confirmed that they were ours with the bartender). Additionally, while a group of girls were doing karaoke, the same man from behind the bar turned on his own microphone and muted the girls for almost the entire song. Don’t recommend at ALL

Do not come here if you’re a Black person.
I was completely ignored and treated with disrespect while white customers were warmly greeted, smiled at, and served without issue. The difference in treatment was obvious and unacceptable.
On top of that, the food was terrible. The pizza was disgusting, and the wings were just as bad. Nothing about this experience was worth the time or money.
I will never return, and I would not recommend this place to anyone—especially people of color.

Vera’s Pizza is such a cool spot in Ballard. They have pinball machines, skee-ball, great drinks and of course one of the best pizza slices in town!!
They also offer karaoke on Wednesday nights from 9pm to Midnight with your fave host STATION.

The doorman was rude, we were on a double date with another bipoc queer couple, I gave him both my wife and my ID. He said that “this is why he hates Seattle.” (Then maybe he should leave) Seemed likkke he wanted to tell me to go back where I came from. (Jokes on him cause I’m Indigenous from the Salish Sea and my grandfather welded the space needle. So I’m like from here from here) We were excited to do some karaoke and were standing to the side to scope out the scene but apparently I was blocking him from
the water he said “move over” as he pushed by me. Like seriously? We left cause that was the last straw. I’m glad we didn’t get the chance to order anything and give my money to a company that allows this behavior.

Such an odd space. Doesn’t feel inviting at all inside. Went on a Saturday night after Christmas during karaoke and it was an awkward vibe. Karaoke host also sang a very inappropriate song which made us feel even more uncomfortable.

Homophobic and possibly racist. My very diverse friend group and I were walking past and we decided to go in. The guy checking IDs on 1/17/26 is the most vile, rude, miserable person I’ve ever met. He was extremely demeaning and disrespectful to my friend for no apparent reason whatsoever except for the fact that I had her wallet and handed him her ID instead of her. We were barely there for 2 minutes before he wanted to get water and we didn’t realize we were blocking the water jug and instead of saying excuse me, he said “move out my way”. When a group of cis white men entered, he was polite to them. I hope no one ever comes here

The DJ at the place was completely disrespectfully to my friend when he requested a song for his ill mom. The DJ made fun of him and said vulgar things like he “knew his mom” in a suggestive way. He then proceeded to get us kicked out and when we tried to explain the situation to the bartenders they completely dismissed us and refused to hear the situation. The DJ would only queue songs if he was tipped first and then ruined my friends birthday by being an absolutely rude human and making fun of his sick mom. Would never go back. Absolutely ridiculous. The lack of care that this company has for the wellbeing of its patrons and making sure that they are treated well is ridiculous. I would avoid at all costs if you are expecting any respect or empathy from any of the employees.
EDIT: He was running the karaoke machine, not sure if DJ was the correct term based on the reply
