Gorgeous place, Gorgeous food that tastes as good as it looks. Was in the mood for some standards… lemon potatoes, tzatziki, lamb gyro and chicken souvlaki but it was hard not to order the whole menu. Huge starter list! We had the mousaka croquettes to try soemth8ng new. Looking forward to trying the octupus next time.
The standards hit the spot but the fresh dressed salad was different and so flavorful. Everything was plated and garnished. Comforting traditional food but made us feel spoiled! Staff was kind and attentive and able to provide recommendations but also hang back and not hover. Really just a wonderful meal. The sparkling water was yummy too.. bathrooms clean and they have some parking in rear.

We had a really good experience at Gyro World for lunch. It’s a casual spot with no wait time and a bright, airy feel thanks to the high ceilings. We tried the chicken and the lamb/beef lunch boxes, which came with gyro, salad, and a choice of fries or rice. Portions were generous, the flavors were fresh, and everything hit the spot for a quick but satisfying meal. Great place if you’re looking for tasty Mediterranean food in a relaxed setting.

The food is good but I had BETTER food unfortunately not in the best places. The platters are over priced. I order beef and lamb which it didn’t have enough tomatoes and onions. So I pretty much paid for a pita sandwich for a bland soup and a hand full of fries close to $30 well it was $27. This is ridiculous and what is it with two different names. If you’re dining in is a tavern, but if you take out, it’s just Greek Mediterranean Grill What the hell is that all about and they got rid of a few things in the menu I just go here cause my son likes it, but otherwise I will pass

Service was excellent. Parking in rear. My guest and I ate early and had no parking issues but when we left there were a few cars waiting for diners to leave. A highlight was the greeting we received from the owner’s wife. What a pleasant and cordial person to greet and chat with diners. The owner also stopped d by our table to inquire if everything was alright. The only criticism I would offer is the noise. Some type of noise absorbing material on the walls may help. This was a very pleasant dining experience and I will definitely dine here again.

Absolutely amazing spot! Gyro World in Caldwell never disappoints. The portions are huge, the meat is seasoned perfectly, and the tzatziki is always fresh and flavorful. I ordered the chicken gyro platter and it came out hot, juicy, and loaded with sides. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out fast even when they’re busy. Definitely my go-to place when I’m craving something fresh and filling.

Best gyro’s in Essex County! The inside had to have been designed by a very good interior decorator. The place truly has a Greek/mediterranean feel to it even with Greek music playing. Quick service, great food, great design overall.

We just picked up our order from Gyro World and were seriously impressed! The portions are extremely generous—great value for the price. The chicken souvlaki was perfectly marinated and full of flavor, grilled just right. The lemon potatoes were out of this world—tangy, soft, and absolutely delicious. The meal came with a side order of either spanakopita or salad. We chose the spanakopita and it was flaky, savory( it looked homemade)and hit the spot. Highly recommend if you’re craving fresh, authentic Greek food!

First time here and let me tell you….. this place is a MUST!!
I ordered the Chicken Gyro Platter with fries and spinach pie. My husband ordered the Falafel Platter with lemon potatoes and spinach pie. I tried my husband’s lemon potatoes and was very surprised at how creamy they tasted! No overpowering lemony taste that I’ve had from other Gyro/Greek restaurants before. I loved them!
The staff was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. I felt right at home and relaxed. Be prepared to eat alot because their platters are huge! You get so much food, it’s worth the prices you pay here.
The food came pretty fast. We didn’t wait long at all.
The Manager here came to our table twice to make sure and ask if everything was ok. Terrific service!
The third time he came to bring us take out boxes to wrap up our food to bring home because there was so much we couldn’t finish! He thoughtfully brought us 2 small servings of their Rice Pudding with cinnamon on top and I was delighted!
You can tell they really care about their patrons/customers here!
