Must be under new management. I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with my food tonight. Oxtails were tough and the max was horrible. I’ve eaten from here several times and had an issue. My salad was fine but everything else smh

Chicken still has BLOOD in it
Do not get food from this place. I stopped in for lunch. Didn’t notice all the restrictions and highlighted pointed out by the register with detail about checking your order prior to leaving because I didn’t anticipate any issues. My chicken was not fully cooked. My chicken breast was oozing blood when I flipped it over from laying on top of the bed of red beans and rice. I returned to the store for a replacement. Manager only agreed to replace the chicken and not the rice which the bloody chicken was laying on. Also they denied me a refund. While I was waiting for my replacement I noticed that they microwave and reheat their food. It is not cooked onsite. If you are looking for freshly well cooked and prepared food STAY AWAY.

I got it delivered, and the food was hot and fresh! I especially loved the plantains and yams on the side (and the variety of options for sides), plus the oxtail was almost addictive! I forgot to take a photo of the beef patty, but although it was a little harder than I was expecting, the flavor was simple yet tasty, I could eat those all day! Of course, the price is a little on the higher end for me to order all the time (especially with delivery), but to enjoy with friends or have as a treat? Would definitely love to try the stew chicken or curry goat next time!

Oxtails do not have the same bone formation as back-vertebrae. I know because I have cooked Oxtails myself, and I majored in Biology. I did not enjoy the tough meat of what seemed to be vertebrae when I ordered the expensive Oxtails from the menu. I did not finish it . However, their jerk chicken is very good.

The food is really good, the jerk sauce is spicy but not over powering has a good taste. Although horrible customer service on the weekdays because of this one employee. He is always rude and arrogant. I don’t know why but he don’t like working there I get it it’s your job. But your in costumer service u have to know how to great somebody with the right tone and manners. He lacks all of that. He darkskin big built and has dark locs that stop to his shoulders. Me and my mom are regulars we would even try to make him laugh but he stuck up.

My family has been eating from here for a few months now. We love the food. However the customer service is really bad. The guy at the front who takes orders and answers the phone is pretty rude and isn’t warm at all. They are also notoriously out of something.
We’ve endured it because we enjoy the food so much, but that may have to end. Hard earned money is too precious to spend it in places where you don’t feel appreciate, or at the least treated with decency and gratitude.

i’ve read the reviews about customer service and I did not experience anyone being rude. They are overly friendly, but they provided my food in a timely manner, packed it up, and told me to have a good day. jerk chicken was a 10/10 and definitely one of my favs in the south suburbs!

First I will start with the presentation of my food looked great and it smelled great. I ordered curry goat side of Mac n cheese and yams. The sides were not flavorful they needed seasoning the yams didn’t have the sweet taste just very dry. Now my goat started off tasting good a little salty but manageable thought it was the best thing on the plate and the only think i was going to eat. As I was eating I found a nice size piece of plastic mixed in with my goat meat. I immediately message DoorDash asking for 100% refund and tossed the food in the trash because my meat was cooked with plastic. This is beyond dangerous plastic can make you very sick if ingested and can lead to cancers. When i called the restaurant to let them know I’m not sure what I expecting but the response I was given was unacceptable and put a bad taste in my mouth. The lady who answered stated that “maybe it was the plastic the goat came in and said sorry that happen to you” and that was end of the conversation. She sounded very nonchalant like it wasn’t a big deal. After she stated that that also let me know that the meat is not being properly cleaned before cooking which is also VERY dangerous and can make you extremely sick. I will NEVER eat here again I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to friends or family because this is just completely unsanitary.
