Try this place and enjoy amazing food!
Update- 11/11 breakfast was really good and reasonable. Service was friendly. Nice to see multiple families cone in and locals.
The CS fire dept was eating here so i thought i found another jem. The sandwiches were on par with JJ but not great. The large size makes them a good price but the overall flavors ehhh. I think i will return to have breakfast because it looks like a great place to chill and eat.
Owned by Julian Cortes, a native of Mexico and boating with just three tables and room for 10-12 patrons, the tiny cafe has had an outsized impact on the local community. Operating from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Julian’s Bagel Place focuses on takeout, making it a convenient stop for a wide range of local municipal workers, including Coral Springs police and fire departments, as well as landscaping and construction crews.
The breakfast menu is robust for a tiny place, featuring a variety of 3-egg omelets. The Veggie Omelette, priced at $8.99, is filled with mushrooms, green peppers, onions, tomato, and spinach. The Meat Lover’s Omelette includes bacon, sausage, and ham, offering a hearty start to the day.
The “Hobo Sandwich” is another popular choice, served on a Kaiser roll and packed with egg, bacon, cheese, and home fries. For those seeking customization, the “2 Eggs with 1 Meat and Cheese Sandwich,” priced at $5.99, offers a protein-packed option.
Fresh-baked bagels for $1.50 and gourmet cream cheeses, including Scallion and Veggie, round out the breakfast offerings. Smoothies like the Very Berry Smoothie at $4.99 offer a lighter, fruity option.
The lunch menu specializes in deli subs, with the freshly cooked rare roast beef sub leading the pack. If asked, lettuce and tomato can provided in a separate box to maintain freshness. The Cuban Hot Sub is another standout, featuring sliced pork, ham, Swiss cheese, deli mustard, mayo, and pickles. Be sure to ask for the “Crack Sauce,” the specialty condiment of the house.
In addition to their selection of smoothies and freshly squeezed orange juice, the beverage menu includes French Vanilla Coffee at $3.99 and Cuban-style coffee drinks like Cafe con Leche, adding a touch of cultural diversity to the offerings.

After 3 PM, Julian’s Bagel Place becomes Anita’s Tacos. Anita and her husband, originally from Toluca, Mexico (a western suburb of Mexico City), are making a curated but excellent value selection of typical antojitos — tacos, gorditas, sopes, flautas, burritos, quesadillas, and a selection of tortas and plates, all aggressively priced and nicely portioned. Of note is the red arbol chile salsa, which packs a serious punch.
We had:
Tacos de birria “gringo” style with lettuce and tomato and queso fresco — tender fall-apart beef, it was like grandma’s Jewish brisket but on a taco.
Sopes de chorizo, a pan-fried disc of masa topped with refried beans, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and queso fresco.
Gorditas de carne asada, similar to the sopes but stuffed.
And tacos “Campechano” which is a meat mixure with traditional cilantro and onion, street style.
All very good, just depends on what you are in the mood for. It’s the only legit taqueria in this part of town, all the others are on Sample (Cartel, Taco Real, La Union 2) or further east down Wiles (La Union 1, Esmeralda).
