Nice little shop. The service was good. The food was fresh. The options were good, although I would have loved an option to switch my fries for a salad. The chicken was great but was a piece of pre breaded frozen chicken. The mushroom Swiss burger has a thin gravy on it we weren’t expecting. So the sandwich was a bit soggy. Otherwise, it was good and is definitely a cool place to see.

Visited this place while I was in town after reading Google reviews on it. The reviews certainly lived up to the experience. I had there the Caribbean pulled pork jerk. Chicken sandwich was excellent. The other two people that were with me also commented on the well prepared and tasty food that they had.the end of the meal with one of their cheesecakes it was simply scrumptious. Most definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The wife and I were in a part of town we rarely visit and decided to try something new. Chef X is a diamond in the rough. This is just the basic place to eat, with no fancy menu items. But don’t let that stop you, they do the basics well. The portions are large. Our breakfast came out quickly and was super yummy. The staff are very polite and attentive. It’s a place worth stopping along the way.

Delicious food, fantastic friendly service, family friendly atmosphere. If you haven’t been here, you’re sleeping on breakfast! More food than you can eat! Giant pancakes, better than mom’s. I had the breakfast burrito. Will definitely return to try their lunch/ dinner menu.

Really glad to have some GREAT new food options in Green Cove! Concise menu with food for everyone. I am on that New Years diet so I got the Grilled Buffalo Chicken Salad and it was amazing! Check out the photos for visuals!! Will definitely return for more lunch soon!

Original: A friend turned us on to Chef-X at 1600 Idlewild Ave in Green Cove Springs, FL, and I must say it’s just another hidden gem that’s not to be missed. This perfect “hole-in-the-wall” eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff’s friendly demeanor and the cozy setup throw an immediate”I wanna eat here” vibe that’s hard to resist.
After checking the menu, I was faced with an dozens of tasty options that left me torn between choices. Ultimately, I settled on the Cali-burger, while my love , NiniTheGangsta, ventured out of her comfort zone and opted for the Ranchero burger. Both selections were masterpieces in their own right, and they’re beautifully captured in the pictures shared.
As soon as our plates were placed in front of us, I said, “I think we may have finally found our favorite burger place,” and that statement held true even before taking that first delicious bite. The burgers were nothing short of perfection, with flavors that smacked the palate and textures that were a neurodivergent’s happy place. Notably, neither of us left a single bite on our plates – a rarity for NiniThePatriot, who usually ends up with a takeout box.
What sets Chef-X apart is their unwavering commitment to using the freshest ingredients and crafting each dish with an impeccable attention to taste and quality. Every bite is a testament to their dedication and passion for their craft. If you are in Green Cove Springs Florida or even if you’re not make the drive. This place has amazing food. I stopped in for breakfast and had their South of the border bowl. It was packed with great flavors. And I will say the amount of food in the bowl will feed two people wow it is alot of food. I suggest getting your own bowl so you’ll have yummy leftovers later. Great atmosphere. They had some great music playing. The establishment is very clean. I met the Chef, he is very friendly and an amazing cook. The staff is great also, they are very attentive. I’m glad I found Chef X, I’ll be coming back for more amazing food…

Only reason I stopped by was because my husband’s coworker bought him lunch and it looked amazing! I stopped by and ordered a pulled pork sandwich. Needless to say it looked and tasted AMAZING!!! Can’t wait to try more of their food! Also the ladies up front were very sweet! I was able to order without having to even look at their menu. I only talked to them about what I was looking for. Everyone in there was very sweet!!! Can’t wait to return!!!

This was our first time here. When you see it from the road you think it’s a pick up food place. They actually have a very cute little sitting area inside. Order first and then sit down. The staff is super friendly. My husband and I ate here for lunch. Excellent portions. The food was delicious. We both got the Jack’s Caribbean pulled pork sandwich was amazing. We loved the fries. We left so full. We will definitely be back and it’s definitely worth a try.
