To be Honest, I have nothing bad to say about Jake’s Pizza! We used to come here years ago, but then we moved about 40 minutes away…So needless to say, its been a minute since we’ve had their YummyFood…
But we were in the area this evening, and decided to go Throwback, & grabbed 2 pizzas (Got a Small Pizza w/Extra Cheese/Mushrooms)/(Small Buffalo Chicken Pizza) and an order of Hot Pepper Cheese Cubes…
Placed the order online, for pick-up and it was done right on time, Hot & Fresh!
I don’t think their prices were bad at all, especially compared to what everything else costs this day & age…
The Young Lady who waited on me at the counter was Sweet, Courteous & Polite!
And of course, The food was delicious!! No complaints whatsoever! We will For Sure, be going throwback again when we’re in the area!

This is the second time I’ve tried this pizza. I thought maybe the first time was a fluke. I ordered a large pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and ham. I guess you have to ask for cheese and sauce. They gave me a 25 minute window at 6:55 to pick up. I arrived at 7:15. I was ignored for round about 5 min. Got the pizza came home roughly a 5-6 minute window at drive. Not only does this pizza taste like it was made yesterday the toppings taste old and there is absolutely no sauce. I can not imagine how in that short of a period of time this pizza would turn to wax. I’m so disappointed and do not want people getting the impression that this pizza is good by seeing their google rating. I miss Napolis in squirrel hill it’s just such a drive.

This place is an absolute disgrace. The food was beyond awful—the ‘cheesy bread’ tasted like stale cardboard with grease poured on top. Nothing had flavor, nothing had quality, and nothing was worth the money. It honestly feels like they don’t care at all about what they serve. The fact that they’re still open is shocking—this is the kind of place that gives restaurants a bad name. Save yourself the disappointment and the wasted cash—go literally anywhere else.

Haven’t had their pizza in years and when me and wife were out near I was excited to have it again. Kept telling her how good it was and how awesome the Pepperoni was. I ordered a large extra cheese with Pepperoni and it was horrible. Hardly any cheese on it let alone extra cheese that I was charged for. Not much sauce either. Pretty much paid $24 for crust. Will never order from here again.

Finally made it to Jake’s Pizza in Rostraver. After hearing such good things and the story of this place I was excited to get some pizza. Was busy when we got there but everyone was working hard to get the food out as fast as they could. Awesome new owners, friendly staff and the pizza speaks for itself. Highly recommend.

When you walk in, this place might creep you out with its child clown portraits on display and its clinical white walls that take on a vaguely pink glow from all the sunlight bouncing off the red tables and window dressings, but this is definitely a case of never judge a book by its cover. This is a no frills, plain Jane establishment. They even have a sign proclaiming Jake’s intolerance for “BS Social Media” (see attached pics), however, the food is really good.
We ordered a 12” (medium) pepperoni pizza and a ½ dozen wings with tangy (traditional buffalo) sauce. Wow!!! The pizza was thin with a crisp, crunchy crust and a pleasingly sweet sauce. I prefer more cheese but this is not a deal breaker. The pepperonis were tasty and meaty, not greasy, with a nice char crunch on the rim of each slice. The wings were also very good with a wonderful fried crunchy exterior (possibly fried twice?) and hot soft inside. These were dang good wings! If I’m ever back in the area, I’d stop again, and that, after all, is the mark of any good establishment.

The new owners definitely continued the old tradition but also have started to add their own twist. Pizza is just as good as before. I’m an Italian hoagie guy and I have to say one of, if not, best around. Also added some new appetizers (we got Mac and cheese bites) AMAZING! My wife got a “Pittsburgh Salad” and she said would highly highly recommend.
