Nice space overall, but my first visit was a mixed experience.

The shop was very crowded and visibly popular. Every table was full, which says a lot about how well-loved it is. The space itself looks like an older Caribou location that’s been renovated, with a casual vibe and plenty of seating options. They also offer food like breakfast items and sandwiches, which is a plus.

The coffee was just fine overall, but the sesame latte was a miss for me. It tasted like straight sesame seed grounds and was very gritty. It didn’t seem mixed well and was honestly hard to drink.

The staff was friendly but also felt a bit distant at the same time. Service wasn’t rude, but it didn’t feel especially warm or welcoming either, almost like they didn’t really want you to be there.

Parking can be a little tricky right out front, but there are usually plenty of spots available in the main strip mall area nearby Trader Joe’s.

Overall, it’s clear this place is very popular and busy, and I may have just caught it on an off day. Decent space and lots of options, but the drink and service didn’t fully win me over on this visit.

This is an amazing coffee shop with very fresh ingredients! We got their house chai latte and it is infused with cinnamon, cardamom, and other spices that really elevate the chai! For food, we got the healthy choice breakfast sandwich and it is amazing! The pesto is perfectly balanced throughout the sandwich. They use real egg (non of that fake egg stuff) and the veggies on the sandwich were toasted well! Highly recommend for food and beverage. The sitting area can get busy but nothing unusual for a coffee shop.

Such a cute local spot! I love coming to Blackwater, whether it be to study, to work remotely, or to just catch up with friends and play games! Great food, coffee, and boba too. I visit here frequently and have always had fantastic service. Plus it’s right next to Trader Joe’s! 🙂

This is a nice Coffe shop and Cafe. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the coffee is great. Tried the Turtle Mocha, very tasty, breakfast filled me up. Nice atmosphere. I came in earlier on Saturday so I can’t speak on how busy normal days are or not.

Black Water Coffee is such a comfortable and welcoming place! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing — perfect for meeting friends or just enjoying some quiet time.

The staff are incredibly warm and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. You can really feel that they care about their customers.

Most importantly, all the ingredients taste very fresh and high quality. The coffee and drinks have so many great options to choose from, and everything feels thoughtfully made. There’s also a strong local vibe that makes this place special and unique.

Highly recommend!

Seems fine. Don’t order online though, you’ll have an employee just hanging out doing nothing until they decide it’s time to make your drink. If I would have just went to the counter I probably would have had a fine experience. Instead I waited 20 minutes for my coffee when there was no line.

Nice place! My daughter had a strawberry shake and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered an espresso, which was good, though I do wish they served it in traditional espresso cups—part of the experience is enjoying it while it stays hot, which is a bit difficult in a plastic cup, especially with just two ounces.

The food looks great, and I’m looking forward to trying it on my next visit. It’s wonderful to have local, non-chain spots like this in the community. Let’s support them and keep them thriving!

I’ve been attending this coffee shop since they’ve opened and never had an issue before. The staff have always been friendly and welcoming, so I was shocked when I received attitude over a request with my drink.

I ordered a Thai iced tea which came surprisingly watered down, and I politely asked if I could have a smoothie instead, assuming it was an issue with the tea itself (I’ve made Thai tea at home and it’s been under steeped before) rather than how the employees made it.

One of the employees was very kind and offered to make me a smoothie instead, and while I was waiting for my drink another employee (shorter blonde individual) came from the back and in a mocking tone, said “did she not like her bubble tea?”

The employee that helped me ignored the comment, to which the same employee repeated it again, and when they noticed me staring confused, a weird look was given to me.

As I said before, I love this cafe and have never had any issues here prior to today’s experience, but it does sour my grapes to be put down like that over a minor drink issue.

Aside from that, my BLT was wonderful.

My Partner and I stopped by this cute coffee shop for brunch and loved it. Such a cozy spot with really good food and drinks. I got the strawberry matcha milk tea and it was super refreshing. My partner ordered the turtle mocha and said it’s his favorite drink he’s ever had anywhere. I tried it too and honestly agree… it’s even better than Caribou.

We both got food as well. I had the Healthy Choice sandwich and it was delicious and really filling. I love that they make their sandwiches fresh in-house instead of frozen. My Partner got the Cuban and really enjoyed it, especially the crisp lettuce (which is surprisingly hard to find sometimes).

We’ll definitely be coming back!
