Went there on a Saturday night. I expected it to be a little busy or have a decent amount of people, but it was basically dead. The food selections were same as any other buffet. Their food was out for a while. Which makes sense why… Why make fresh food if there’s barely any customers right..? My fiance did not like any of the food at all. Sushi tasted like it was out for a while. Crawfish was nasty. Tasted like the smell of cow poo.

The Windows and right inside is dirty. The areas around the empty fish tank and the fountain Needs to be refreshed! The South St.Louis location much nicer! Food was good. Everything around the food was clean. The employees were very nice!

This place needs to be SHUT DOWN ASAP! Guy seated us at a filthy table and the ceiling was leaking. Everything on the buffet was cold. My 1 year old did not enjoy eating his food so that’s how you know it was bad. I told an worker what was going on and they did nothing about it. I will never return to this location ever again. The South County location is much better. If I could give this location an negative rating, I WOULD!!

Used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Not sure if something changed with this place recently but we were totally dissapointed after trying to eat lunch there today. Nothing on the buffet was fresh and a few dishes were straight up disgusting. Waited in hopes they would put out some fresh items but no one seemed to care. They finally put out what I would have thought was fresh fried wings but they were soggy even though I just watched the guy bring them out. Not the same product or preparation they used to use. Different owners, management, staff or something but I will no longer be able to recommend this location.

Very disappointed in this Hokkaido location. Since being sold to new owners sometime in the last year, the experience here has crashed and burned. The whole place comes over as “lets cut corners” Lighting has changed and not for the better. Food quality has gone to pot. Flavors are not right. Much less of everything and it has gotten so bad i won’t be back. I much prefer my buffet closer to me in Wood River. I have been to Hokkaido in south STL county and it was amazingly good. This one really sucks now. It used to be pretty good when the previous owners ran it

Bad service, nice food. The place well decorated and has a variety of food which is very enjoyable. Our waitress, however, was not very pleasant. She avoided our table until the middle of the meal and when my mother told her her tip had been left of the table she interrupted her and glared… I considered going back to the table and taking it back. The restaurant was not busy when we were there, it just seemed silly.
Food was good, lots of variety of fish, fruit, sushi and things I wouldn’t have found at home. However if I visit the area again I won’t go here because I really wouldn’t want to have her stop by my table again.

Love this place! I’ve been going there a couple years, always great! Calamari salad is the best I’ve ever had, sushi is always great, creamy coconut shrimp, Indian chicken, and all the normal favorites plus stuff I’ve never seen…I just finished eating it( I get it to-go too!)and HAD to pause the movie to give them a great review. I should have done it sooner.

The food may look good and hot, but in reality, it’s cold and has no flavor or flavor doesn’t go with the food. Large selection, but the food sits out for too long. Mainly all fried food or baked seafood. Lots of seating, but never crowd. Only one waitress on duty. The waitress never came by to check up or refill drinks for any guests, but instead, stand at her station breast pumping and playing on her phone. After eating dinner here, I had a stomachache for the rest of the night.

Huge selection of foods. Nicer sushi selection than I remembered. My grandson enjoyed his first time trying sushi and the chocolate fountain. Lots of other food choices too like Chinese and Mongolian barbecue. Salad bar looked fresh but I did not have any.

Traveler in town with some time fo kill. My buffet choice was between this and a typical American style. This was closer and with an average overall rating. The previous reviews were all over the board with better ones being older. I came in as they opened@11. The line was full and steaming. I hit the meats, the mixed dishes, salads…then a little more meats. (And you know I had some frozen yogurt)
Most of it was very tasty with great seasoning. Some things weren’t quite right but a) its a large buffet; b) I was on that door as it opened. I have to say I was not the only one there!
At the ti.e I went it was $8 and well worth it. It costs me about the same at McDonald’s.
