This place is absolute top-notch. Their empanadas are exquisite. The dos bolas was fantastic. The only complaint I have is they need bigger size cups for their sauce. It is also fire. I live in Clayton, GA and travel to NC often to see clients. I was looking for a place to have a good dinner before my evening client and found Fany’s. I love to try food trucks out so I ordered their chicken curry meal. There was a problem with my order so the very nice lady said she was going to fix it and bring it to my car. It didn’t take long before she arrived with the most delicious meal I have had in a long time! Plus, she gave me a free hibiscus tea as a bonus. She also happened to be a dog lover so my dogs received tons of love from her. I will definitely stop by again! I can’t wait to try the empanadas.

Food is INCREDIBLE!! New favorite spot!! The fried cheese and guava sauce was life changing and these small meat filled hushpuppy like balls that were in our bag but we didn’t order and can’t find on the menu.. I NEED to know what they were so I can eat more of them!! AMAZING!!

I hired Fany’s Island Kitchen to cater a holiday party for 60 people. From the beginning, the communication was professional and timely. I reached out to them over social media and was answered within 24 hours. I was pricing out other places and Fany’s came in on point with other places but it was their timely and friendly response that won me over. Karla is who I planned the menu with and she was a pleasure to work with. She was able to guide me in quantities and was quick to answer questions. The day of the event Adam and Fany delivered the food. If you have had the pleasure of being around people whose work is their passion, then you are truly blessed. These two are the real deal. All the food was package perfectly-no spills and they labeled everything, including descriptions of food (typed, printed and in clear, clean holders), and the sauces were labeled and had descriptions and tips. And the most important part-the food. It was amazing. We had curried vegetables, yellow rice, pollo guisado, salad and pernil. Exceptional spices, freshness, and portion sizes. I was fortunate enough to take some home (just a little as it was almost entirely eaten) and I ate it for breakfast- because I woke up thinking about it!
When Adam and Fany delivered the food Fany told me that the food was made with “love”. I know this is true. The food is delicious. Worth a stop at their food truck and worth sharing with friends and family. Whether you’re stopping for a meal or planning an occasion you can’t go wrong. My friend wanted to come here and try something new. I was a bit hesitant on what to order, as I’d never really tried this type of cuisine on my own time. The owner reassured us and said he was there to help if we had questions about the menu. I got the dos bolas and my friend got an empanada and the fried yucca. This food was insanely good and it’s gonna be our new regular spot. The owner also threw in a special treat for us, an extra hibiscus tea. It was a very enjoyable meal and we can’t wait to return. Good people, service, and food.

A great cultural addition to the food scene in the area. Very friendly folks. Food was excellent – most of it is fried so it’s not something I can do all the time, but when the craving is there is hits the spot! The fried cheese and yucca desert fritters were top notch. Also loved the empanadas – bigger than expected!

For soulful and savory I recommend the fried chicken, empanadas (vegetarian, beef, pork, chicken, etc.), chimi burger, or dos bolas (perfect for picky eaters).
For sweet I recommend the yuca fritters, and the fried cheese with Fany’s special guava sauce.
For sides you can’t go wrong with the yuca fries or the tostones (twice fried plantains). I recommend getting both honestly.
Also. Something that I (and those with gluten issues should) truly appreciate about this food truck is that they actually mean what they say by “Gluten Free”. The relevant food items are actually cooked in different fryers which isn’t something that most restaurants are completely honest about unfortunately.
This is one local spot to keep on your radar. With a secret blend of Dominican herbs, spices, culture and vibrant personality, Fany’s Island Kitchen has crafted a truly amazing and unique menu that’ll have you coming back for more!
