Designed as a 60s-inspired restaurant, The Depot Diner is located on Table Rock Lake in Golden, MO. Situated next to the Hangar at Point 25 and only 200 feet from a renovated runway, it’s a fun spot to grab a great meal with your friends and neighbors. We serve classic breakfast items, steaks, burgers, gourmet pizza, ice cream, and a delicious menu of desserts. We’ll be waiting with a hot grill, cold drinks, and friendly faces.

Wow, wow, WOW. Depot Diner is a hidden gem that deserves to be brought to light! Seated feet away from a rural “airport”, this airplane and train themed diner is truly a special spot. The atmosphere, decor, and location alone is enough for you to come here! Now, onto the food: off the charts amazing. The Reuben was the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had plenty. I asked for extra sauce and sauerkraut, and the chef did not disappoint. Their “special sauce” was delicious, I mean, I literally licked the cup clean. It was perfect to dip the fries in, as well as extra yum on the sandwich. The Depot Burger was also tasty, with extra toppings and plenty of meat! The fries were delicious and clearly freshly made, plus they also make their Ranch from scratch, perfect for dipping those fries. Our waitress was amazing, she was helpful and talkative, she gave great suggestions and was attentive to our needs (extra napkins, more water, etc). On our way out, the chef came over to ask how our meal was and even asked if he put enough sauerkraut on my Reuben! How sweet! Oh, and did I mention that we got to see THREE little planes take off the runway?! The pilots had eaten at the Diner, then walked out to their planes, just like you would your car, then took off into the sky. What a priceless experience! We can’t wait to go back!

I’ve read a lot of good reviews about Depot Diner, so we figured we’d give it a try. The place was clean, and the staff were very friendly. We started off with their peanut butter pie, so good! My wife and I had the Philly with fries and onion rings. The portions were good, and very flavorful! Will definitely be back!

A pleasant surprise along our trip to Branson. Coming back to NWA from a Christmas trip to Branson and this gem popped up on Google Maps with a 4.9 rating was a promising option. Growing up in the area and spending time in Golden as a kid I never knew there was an airport there.
The restaurant sits along side the airport runway. The biscuits and gravy were on point and as a b&g snob, I have left a lot of plates half eaten. Being a Level 9 Google reviewer I was asked what I was going to rate it, knowing I am a tough grader. My response was a solid 4 as I hardly give a 5 unless it is something I can prepare better in my own kitchen.
As we were leaving, we were greeted by the host that was not there when we arrived. He looked really familiar and then it clicked it was Brent, whom was the server from one of my all time favorite restaurants. Back in his day, he was so detailed to attention and made you feel like you were part of an experience and just not eating a plate of food. In fact, he was always been my measurement of what makes a great a server. He shared with me that he is approaching 70 and prefers to be a host now. If you’re reading this as the business owner, please tap into his experience and let him share with your wait staff.
He is still the conversationalist and moved this solid 4 rating to a 5.

Wow. Just wow. Finally got a chance to eat here as our schedule typically conflicts with their open hours. Folks were smiling as we entered, (good sign), place is a fantastic recreation of a diner/train car feel, (another good sign), server, the owner’s daughter, was a superb server. 4/12/23. 2nd visit, ! Had the pleasure of service by Jamie and my bud and I left feeling like we were honored guests. She wore a constant smile and greeted everyone like she owns the place – with genuine hospitality. I had the hamburger, he ate meatloaf. Not often will I seek out the person responsible for cooking my food, but the burger was so perfect I had to find John and thank him. Most fresh and hottest and deliciousest meal I can remember in a restaurant. So good!! **update 4/16. Told ya we’d be back. Had another awesome hamburger meal! Experience was made even better by Missy, who, from the very first, treated us like personal friends. Fun and funny, efficient and fast. Happy, we be. **update 7/15** Didn’t we all hate meatloaf as kids? If you’re still a kid at heart like me, then open your mouth and put some of their meatloaf in there. O. M. There are a variety of menu items such a sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and specials. If you are a dessert lover, there are pies and cobblers. Depot Dinner rotates desserts from time to time. Cheesecake is a passion of the kitchen.
We visited on a Monday late afternoon (Presidents Day), it was comfortably busy, the staff was fun to talk with to learn about fly-in, and an occasional car show. We had a cheeseburger with fries and the BLT with onion rings on our first visit. Of note, open for breakfast, which is served all day. We cannot recommend this place enough!

I brought a group of 48 people to the Depot Diner and we had breakfast in the hanger! What a cool place! The hanger was clean and climate controlled. I also went through the diner and it was so cute with beautiful renovations and both indoor and outdoor seating. We had a breakfast buffet with sausage, eggs, biscuits, bacon, fruit and it was all yummy! The owners, Chuck, Carol, and Jordan went out of their way to make sure our group was well cared for and all their staff were so friendly! Highly recommend!
