JL’s is a scaled down version of Sully’s offering many of the Sully’s favorites as well as items exclusive to John L.S. From our Blue Plate style Midday Favorites lunch menu to our Steaks, Burgers and Pastas & Cheesecakes, we’re sure there’s something for everyone!

If you’re looking for a place that nails both great food and great vibes, this spot delivers. The steaks are consistently incredible—perfectly seasoned, cooked exactly right, and packed with flavor. Their seafood holds its own too; the tuna steak is next-level good, and the boudin egg rolls are one of those appetizers you try once and instantly regret not ordering two.
They also have a solid selection of draft beers, which pairs perfectly with the relaxed, upscale ambience. It’s the kind of atmosphere where you can unwind, enjoy a great meal, and never feel rushed.
The servers deserve their own shoutout: friendly, attentive, and on the ball without hovering. You can tell they care about creating a great experience.

Honestly I don’t know why it only put one star. We went with the kids the other night and the food was amazing. My steak was perfect. We normally go to Sully’s but my steak here was much better. I hope this fixes the 1 star. I’m sorry!!

My husband and I ate at John LS last night.
The steaks were cooked to perfection. The Wait Staff was on top of their game. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only thing that I can say was a negative is that they do not serve wine. But that really isn’t a big deal. We absolutely will be back. Thank you John LS. It was definitely worth the wait for your new opening

Outstanding food and service with great steaks and seafood choices! This place is ran in conjunction with Sulley’s and has the best steaks you can get in the Hattiesburg area in my opinion. I will note the sumrall location, John L’s does not serve liquor only beer due to local restrictions, but great food nonetheless!

Ate at home was take out so I dunno about atmosphere !! Hobby’ steak was medium rare but asked for medium well. so I can NOT recommend this place. The Lettice in my salad was thick the decorating kind. I hate that kind prefer iceberg that is crispy not limp!! Can’t make steak right and yucky salad that’s enough for us.
