We were excited to try the new “hole-in-the-wall” here in Murphy. The food was good, the fajitas were excellent and the tamales were terrible where as, the enchiladas were just average. A wide variety of plates were tried, and the fajitas were the winner. The service was 10 stars, best we’ve had in awhile, especially with a large group. They don’t serve beer which was a bummer. We went on a Monday night before closing so maybe try this spot when the town is more lively. Great prices and easy parking. We will return!

I absolutely loved this little place! The young woman serving was so kind and attentive throughout my meal. The guacamole was easily some of the best I’ve ever had, very flavorful and not just puréed avocados. I also greatly enjoyed the salsa, which is a little hot, and ordered the empanadas, which were delicious and very fresh. Fair pricing too. This is much better than your generic small town Mexican restaurant and I would visit frequently if I lived here!

The food was very good! We got the enchiladas, chimichangas, steak taco, and horchata. The guacamole was so fresh tasting. The horchata tasted homemade, it was thicker than we have had before. The enchiladas had a chunky red sauce that tasted freshly made as well. The family was super sweet.

What a pleasant surprise! Everything exceeded expectations— the horchata was not overly sweet— tasted homemade. The guacamole was fresh and with a nice chunky texture. Salsas were terrific— tacos de lengua were great— with handmade tortillas that didn’t fall apart. The chilaquiles in a chipotle based salsa roja were fantastic as well. Service featured two young teenagers who were working hard and constantly Che king on us despite being busy. Great place!

Don’t let the looks fool you—this place delivers where it really matters. The food was incredible and clearly made with care, and the service was just as impressive. Our server was an absolute joy: warm, attentive, and genuinely made the experience even better. A total hidden gem and well worth the stop. We’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I tried this place out today. It seems to be a Hispanic family owned and operated restaurant. Their menu seems to have a lot of options. They had some cute decorations. When we arrived, there was a couple of different Hispanic families seated, suggesting authentic food. We had cheese steak tacos which were on special. The hostess was cheerful and friendly.

I’ve had tacos in multiple states, countries and continents. Mixt probably has the best tacos within hours. Go grab a taco platter, ask for the tomatillo sauce, and thank me later. A gem of a place. 5-Stars all around.
