Went to Bruegger’s on Sunday morning and I’m pretty disappointed. The place is nice and big, so that’s good I guess.
But wow, they are so disorganized! They have plenty of people working there, so it’s not like they’re short staffed. The problem is they just don’t know how to work efficiently. Other fast food places have people doing different jobs – some work on online orders, others help customers in line. But here? Everyone was just running around the whole restaurant working on one order at a time. It was chaos.
We waited at least 20 minutes just for bagels on a Sunday morning when it was busy. That’s way too long. And when we finally got our food, the bagel was completely smashed up. For $8, this is what we get? Come on.
The place has potential because it’s nice inside and they have enough workers. But they really need to get their act together and figure out how to actually run the place. Until then, I’ll probably go somewhere else for bagels.

Came in during a slow morning and stood at the register for about five minutes without being acknowledged. When an employee finally began helping me, they left mid-sentence to assist another customer with a large order. The employees were friendly & kind, but there was very little sense of urgency. What I expected to be a quick stop ended up taking 15 minutes for a single bagel.

Everytime I go here it takes way too long for my order to be ready. Today I went to pick up an online order which says 15-20 mins. I now always go at least 20 minutes after I place the order because of how long they take, it still was not ready when I got there and I waited another 5 minutes. Then I told the lady I’m waiting for an order I placed 25 minutes ago and she just said “that’s next”. No apologies, nothing. I love brueggers and this is not an issue at any other location. This is seriously an issue and I have started going to a different bagel shop due to it.

I had a great experience at Brueggers on New Years Eve day. The manager Angie, I think is her name was so friendly and accommodating even thought it was very busy. I look forward to coming back to this Brueggers in the future. My bagel was delicious too. Keep up the good work!

On Christmas Eve I came in for two bagels with cream cheese. I paid approximately five dollars a bagel since my order came to over $10 and my bagel had about a teaspoon of cream cheese on it. I have never experienced this at other locations. They usually give a generous smear of cream cheese for the price you pay. I vowed in the past to never to come back to this location because the manager is not very friendly. It always seems that he hates being there.
In fact, he was working the register on this day. He didn’t offer a smile when I placed my order.
I called to let him know about my order and, he never came to the phone. I Would not recommend this location As this is my consistent experience here.
I recommend going to Southtown which is not too far away. The management is nice and you at least get a smile when you place your order.
I gave the atmosphere one star because there is no atmosphere. You used to be able to come and sit down and now you can only take your bagels and go. During the summer, there are two Bistro tables if you want to sit outside.
In this day and age service is so important. Especially in the morning when people are just waking up, they are looking for a friendly smile at the places they frequent.
And with prices of food being so high for all of us, people need to get what they are paying for.
This is not to bash your business, but to give feedback that should be considered in the future. I have no plans of ever coming back because this has been My third experience like this, and I finally decided to write about it.

Every time I go to this location they forget about my coffee and I end up waiting an extra ten minutes on top of the already unreasonably long wait time. So far all three times the employees yelled at each other and played the blame game (right in front of me and other customers) rather than just making the coffee they forgot about. Also they were closed for three weeks due to construction and there were no signs or notifications anywhere online or at their location, so my friends and I drove all the way there to get pick up orders placed online that will never be filled. Do not go here unless you have unlimited time and money to waste.

Excellent bagels! Quick service. Convenient location. We tried the turkey chipotle and the avocado bacon tomato and both of our bagels were very tasty. They have a few tables outside, which we were able to eat at with our dogs. The dining room inside was still closed when we visited. Definitely would recommend visiting this place to have one of their great bagels!

Why one star? Simple. This bagel shop can’t hire enough employee’s to service their customers properly. THAT’S the reason nobody can use their dinning room. Why can’t Bruegger’s get more staff? Greed. The real question is are you willing to support a business that screws over both customer and employee? A business that refuses to give full time benefits and hours and is also perfectly fine making the customers suffer due to a lack of proper staffing? One word.
BOYCOTT
Perhaps if we punish businesses that clearly don’t care about anything other than the bottom line at both customer and employee expense. Ether the company will be forced to change or go out of business altogether to make room in the market for competition who VALUES both customer experience and employee’s. Vote with your dollar’s. Don’t reward bad business practices.
