We’ve tried several items on the menu, and each one has been a hit. The portions are generous, the ingredients are high-quality, and the flavors are spot on. Even when the restaurant is busy, the service remains quick, friendly, and attentive, a true reflection of how much pride they take in their work.
Whether you’re craving comfort food or something a little adventurous, Ginger and Spice delivers every single time. It’s become one of our go-to spots in Prosper for both date nights and casual family dinners. If you’re looking for great food, wonderful service, and a cozy atmosphere, this is the place. Highly recommend!
On this visit, I went with fried rice and broth, and it was exactly what I needed. Full of flavor, comforting, and fresh. They definitely do not skimp, which means bonus leftovers for later.
I’ve tried various items from this restaurant!
Beef pho – great rice noodles. Broth is 3.5/5. It is not authentic, do not expect to find tripe or tendon. Bummer for me but I’m sure they don’t offer that due to the demographic up here.
Pate banh mi – horrible. They used American mayo???? The cha lua and thit nguoi had zero flavor. I paid $2 more for extra pate and there was barely any pate on it to begin with let alone extra. The bread wasn’t even toasted. Yall need to take this off your menu, it was an abomination! 0/10
Bun bo hue – absolute no go. They don’t even have mam ruoc (fish paste) for more flavor. It tastes like they reseasoned the pho broth. If you just tell yourself it’s not meant to be bun bo hue, but a miscellaneous spicy noodle soup, then it’s edible. But it’s not bun bo hue.
Overall, this is a solid place for if you want a mediocre bowl of pho. Comparable to pho que huong chains. I will not be going back to try other things. But if you’re in the area, this is probably one of the better bowls of pho you’ll get. Also, if you have an Americanized palette, this may satisfy you! I think they’ve adjusted the flavor profiles to appease their patrons. Unfortunately it does not translate welll to anyone looking for authenticity or flavor. Still on the hunt for good Vietnamese food in this area! Cheers!
I decided to just keep on eating as the waitress had mentioned they were short staffed in the kitchen. Fair enough how ever y did provided a feedback about the quality of food while paying for it.
The cooks and the cashiers did not even wait for me to leave to comment on my feedback. I could hear being dismissive and making fun of my comment.
Won’t be back. Food wasn’t even that great nor worth spending time and money here.
