But what truly made our experience shine was the exceptional service from Tony! He greeted us with a warm smile, offered us an enlarged menu when we needed it, and took care of our orders with ease and efficiency. And the food? Absolutely divine! The buttered focaccia bread, cookies, salads, stroganoff, lasagna, tortellini, and customized sandwiches were all piping hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor.
We’re already counting down the days until our next visit to De Vinci’s Delicatessen and Catering! Tony’s top-notch service and the delicious food have won us over, and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy it all again!
Update sadly, over the last 8 months I’ve gotten food from De Vincis half a dozen times, and each time, the food has severely gone DOWN hill. But I kept wanting to give another try. Today was the last chance. Last 3 sandwiches were mediocre. Sonthis time I thought id gonwith whats always been great. The Ravioli was fine, foccacia bread was good, but the salad was disgusting. And the cookies I threw away. Not worth eating. If you don’t do something quick, you will go out of business. Something management must have changed from the first couple years that quality has suffered. Moved from 4 stars to 1
i had the Alfredo and it was super watery and milky. it tasted like garlic milk. there was almost no cheese in it and under seasoned. when i put it in the fridge it thickened to a brick. then when i microwaved it the next day it just turned into milky grease. i have no idea whats in it to make its transform so much. even canned sauce doesn’t come out watery, thicken to a brick then microwaves to oil.
the chicken was very under seasoned and dry.
bread was decent, a bit stale. i don’t know how fresh since its all plastic wrapped.
salad was okay. lots of white parts and big chunks of lettuce. maybe cut it up better and maybe use more of the green part of the lettuce.
the cashiers were nice and the inside looked clean.
i know they are a catering place, but i thought it was a restaurant that catered, not a caterer that sells warmed bulk food. in which case the food is a bit expensive, even tho its not super expensive. but still for its quality, its worse than canned that is way cheaper. so your overpaying for them to warm it up for you. I’d say its akin to cafeteria food, but honestly i liked the cafeteria food in school. this must be the cafeteria food they have in old folks home.
i assumed it was a restaurant that cooked semi fresh food that catered. but maybe it was my fault for assuming that. looks like its a completely frozen, shipped in packaged food place that just warms it up. if your going to sell me prepackaged frozen food then pass the savings on to me and charge less. i wouldn’t expect to go to a cafeteria and pay more like its a restaurant.
