Sushi Junki is truly a hidden gem and lives up to diamond standards! The atmosphere is so elegant with modern cozy decor and ambient lighting , you can hear classical music playing in the background it truly feels amazing. Always so organized and extremely clean. As you walk in the waitress is highly energetic with such kindness and excellent customer service skills , she is highly attentive of your needs always asking if there is anything she can help you with, always refilling your water or refilling beverages and cleaning off any plates from the table. She always has a smile and is so respectful she truly is inviting of everyone’s presence , this energy and environment is RARE to find in restaurants. The menu has a great variety of Asian dishes , I personally always ask for the appetizer sampler and try different sushi and rice dishes they’re always yummy! They even have a nice cozy bar for those who enjoy liquor. The bathrooms are always CLEAN. This place deserves the five stars and I hope it always stays this way. Truly give it a try over China town sushi spots this place is so much faster and has great quality.

My girlfriend and I come here regularly when we are in the mood for Asian food, the food is great and the atmosphere is perfect for date night. The service is always amazing and since we are regulars we get recognized when we come in which is always nice The only comment I would like to make is that it’s a little bit on the pricey side but is perfect for a once in awhile occasion. Definitely a hidden gem in Berwyn versus going all the way to Chinatown and we will continue to come here to satisfy our cravings

I went here to have sushi after my doctor’s appointment today, and it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere of this restaurant is wonderful: it’s very modern with fun wall decor, yet cozy, with the tables placed just closely enough not to be uncomfortable. The sushi menu was genuinely impressive–there was an incredible number of options, and it was difficult to decide which ones I wanted to try! The entire restaurant was in view of the sushi chef station as well as there being a dining counter; it was interesting to watch the chef’s prepare my sushi from my table. The server was very attentive and service was incredibly quick. The Futo roll and Tuna Avocado roll were delicious and beautifully presented, and I think my Cucumber Salad was probably the most beautiful salad I’d ever eaten at a sushi restaurant! I also ordered a Hong Kong Milk Tea with boba, which was a bit sweet, and would have been better without the boba, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I’d very much like to come back and try more of the menu. Remember to also tip your sushi chef for their hard work!

While they are kinda rude when answering the phone, the food is fast, fresh, and delicious.

I stopped by and tried the California sushi roll. Uploaded are the rolls with spicy mayo (HIGHLY recommend but they are extra $$)

Will be coming back but I recommend asking about the daily specials before ordering for best bang for your buck.

Dine-in available but the food is still worth it!!

The hybrid corporate produced Chinese Japanese, Korean and other far east menu items may seem generic, and they are at times but the quality of ingredients and the rare opportunity to mix food types in ways you normally can’t is addicting.

Every wanted shrimp friends rice in a bowl with miso soup poured on it?

The only thing truly holding this place back is the inconsistent Drinks Menu which range from the cliche sugar based fruit smoothies, and certain exotic teas being listed bit according to some regulars haven’t been back in stock for years. I’d like to blame covid but in all honesty it could be lack of interest leading to low restock priority.

You can order on the take outside if your in a hurry or you can enjoy the dinning side which features a more far-east theme with a Sushi bar and standard bar across from it.

Either way you will enjoy the food ornthe drinks alcoholic or virgin.

What a great surprise. Great atmosphere and dining room set up adjacent to the sushi bar. The Ramen was excellent as well as the hand rolled sushi and green tea service. Highly recommend for any meal of the day.

The food is fantastic and the service kind!
My wife and I have been enjoying a variety of Asian foods with consistent quality at Junki (rather an unfortunate name). For me, sushi is the main attraction. The variety, quality, and presentation has been consistently delightful. The salads are well dressed, the soups condimented perfectly, and the fish always tasty. For example, Saba or mackerel as nigiri or in roll seems to me that the chef has carefully cured and prepare the fish as shushi. The server we have had, a mid-age Asian-looking lady (sorry I did not asked for her name) has always been patient and very attentive to our needs at the table.
Lunch is a good time to taste dishes from various regions in Asia at a reasonable price. Dinner has been a time for us to enjoy quality of food with families and friends. I do not recommend ordering food to take out, which you have to do through J Wok, the store next door. The food and service have discouraged our business at each experience we had with them.
I encourage you to try Sushi Junki, which provides quality of food, great service, in a down to earth setting. Such businesses improve community life and we need to keep them around. Enjoy a culinary tour of Asian cooking!

Sooo, I was this close to skipping this place because of the lack of reviews, but hey, I like living on the edge.

Walked in—got greeted ✅.
Sat down — water appeared ✅.
Asked for drinks and food right after? Double ✅

The server was juggling tables like a pro, but she still made it over the second we put our menus down. Respect.

Now, let me be real, I was a little freaked out after doom-scrolling through the bad reviews. You know, the ones about_____ so naturally, I checked the seats, even under the table and happy to report: no creepy crawlies in sight. ‍

All in all, solid experience. Would def come back

After a long hot day of summer school/work, my little family was hungry and looking for a place to eat. Daughter and daddy wanted sushi, I’m not the biggest fan of it, so it was a very nice surprise to find out this place has an extensive menu to satisfy everyone’s cravings! Really impressed with the atmosphere and decor inside, and it was thumbs up for the sushi, and pad si ewe. Happy to have found this local gem, we will definitely be back!
