Moo shu chicken and singapore mei fun were also very good
Value for money was excellent too.
We will gladly return.
We ordered sesame chicken, Szeuan chicken, chicken fried rice, dumplings and egg rolls. Everything arrived hot and it was so good. We were given so much food and we ate everything.
Highly recommend.
Very unusual attitudes by the women workers ( just as other reviewers have mentioned) I have -never experienced the display of unprofessionalism by the male workers there I must add-. And this review is a boil over of consistent uncomfortableness. When we come to pick up food it’s a simple transaction, requires very few words, people do not care about the social issues and quarrels of society and have no use for pretending visits are personal.
I have been to all restaurants within 25 miles, I highly recommend places with a strong combination of food and welcoming atmosphere, here are some notable places:
-Pho house
-Rice Bowl Asian house ( adjacent Plaza)
-Sunny Wok ( state road 70 east)
-Taste of China ( state road 64) genuine nice people, amazing consistent good service, including remaining food cook estimates
-China Taste (university) very nice
-China 1 (Fruitville) very business standard
-Pei Wei (university) professional and well run
-Happy Dragon ( state road 70 east) -honorable- mention, as I was greeted from behind a customer before I could even tell their conversation had ended , very professional, even guessed my order based on order timing, good job!
People complaining about the price, you can’t put a price on excellence , If you wanna go eat garbage loaded with MSG go elsewhere.
I lived in New York City for almost 30 years and I’ve been here for almost 20 years. I have not had good Chinese food since then.
The boneless barbecue pork, the fried rice, the lo mein, the eggrolls, chicken with broccoli everything is delicious. The restaurant is mainly focused on takeout, which is all I ever do, but if you’re looking for Chinese food that is authentic, delicious and a great value this is the place.
My family and I have always recognized and appreciated the fact Chinese restaurants are usually the only food establishments open on Christmas, so we order as tradition most years.
This year, I was by myself, and saw China Village was one of the best Chinese food places in the area. I quickly ordered the hot and spicy Orange Chicken, Pan Fried Dumplings, and a Diet Coke. It was 5:38 pm when I’d ordered.
I walked in around 5:53 pm to a line of about 11 or more people waiting for their food, and a young girl behind the counter. Some orders were DoorDash, some over the phone, and some were continuously walking in to put in orders. This place was highly sought after. The only issue being, the orders came in multiples.
There had to have been over 4 items in each order because everything took much longer than anticipated — however, don’t forget, it’s CHRISTMAS, AND they’re already very popular in the area. I believe this is a family owned business too. I think I saw 4 or 5 additional people back there. I give them a lot of credit.
There were several people in line complaining of wait times, especially since their automated messaging system had estimated 10-15 minutes wait times or 15-20 minutes although they were exceeded tonight obviously. It makes me ask though, how many of us searched “places open on Christmas” on Google? How many of us soon realized Google times on holidays aren’t super accurate, places are often marked open instead of closed, and for a well liked restaurant even on a typical Tuesday, those estimated wait times may actually be underestimated already. On Christmas? I’m waiting till the world ends for my Chinese, but these people weren’t having it, I was shocked. Some even cancelled their orders entirely because they didn’t have the patience or trust in this girl that their food would shortly be ready. I just think of all that food they just prepared and what happens to it? Where do these people go after they cancel too, McDonald’s?
One guy was hooting and hollering after 10 minutes of physically waiting in line while myself and the guy next to me had to had been there 20+ minutes prior. It was obnoxious. Grown men throwing temper tantrums to a young girl just doing her job, on a holiday nonetheless. I don’t care where you’re from or who you are, have some respect and pipe down.
I recognized they were busy. I was so embarrassed to be in the same room as these complainers. I didn’t say anything until I’d reached exactly an hour since I’d ordered to ask what appeared to be the owner to check on my food. She was amazing, and very kind. Quickly brought it out, and soon I was on my way home to enjoy it— so much so I’m writing the review.
I experienced long wait times, yes, but an amazing meal. I apologize to that young girl for what she had to endure this evening, we don’t claim that manchild behavior. I hope you had an incredible evening tonight, I am so happy to have found my new favorite Chinese place here.
