I ordered two sweet scones and one savory. Since there weren’t prices posted, I was shocked when the total came out to over $30 for three scones.
The garlic rosemary scone was flavorful, with a chewy texture, though it leaned more toward a bread-like consistency with a bit of an eggy taste. The stuffed fruit scone had the same chewy, tapioca-like texture, which wasn’t quite what I was expecting from a traditional scone.
I can tell the owner puts care into his products, but for me personally, the texture and flavor didn’t match what I typically look for in a scone. Still, I appreciate the friendly service and unique gluten-free options, which I know many people value.
The owner, Willis, is friendly, helpful, generous with his time, and best of all an amazing pastry baker!
I don’t know how he makes the tastiest scones we’ve ever had, but he manages to make them Gluten-Free and sometimes even Vegan.
His bakery is a dedicated GF facility…he also serves other items in addition to scones, you need to check out this jewel of a business!
If you’re searching for a bakery that feels like a delightful secret, this spot is worth the detour. Tucked away from the usual hustle, it offers an experience that’s as warm and inviting as its freshly baked treats. Every item is thoughtfully crafte so tasty that it makes you forget gluten was ever a thing. The flavors are rich, the textures are perfect, and the attention to detail is unmatched.
What truly sets this bakery apart is its commitment to quality and creativity. You’ll find unique combinations that surprise and delight, all while maintaining that comforting homemade feel. The owner who was working is friendly and passionate, making our visit feel personal and welcoming.
If you’re gluten-free (or even if you’re not), this is the kind of place that turns a simple snack into a memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves discovering culinary treasures off the beaten path!
$30 for 3 scones is wild.
I ordered two of each scones options: lemon, Hawaiian, and vegan chocolate chip. All gluten-free and perfectly delicious.
My husband favored the Hawaiian while I took a shine to the chocolate chip. Again, each flavor was delightful and stimulating to our taste buds.
These scones are also the largest that I’ve ever seen. The six that I brought have been our breakfast for two mornings and an afternoon snack.
My understanding is that fall brings additional food options, as soups are added to the menu. I’m imagining them as equally enjoyable.
If you are in the area, I recommend that you pick up some of the delightful treats provided at Olympia Bakery by a personable and talented baker. Enjoy.
I also got a ganache cookie (AMAZING) and a latte.
This is a dedicated gluten free facility only 1 mile from I-5. They have a free parking lot – so no need to hunt for parking.
This is definitely a must- visit if you are local or if you are traveling on I-5 and need a celiac-safe, gluten feee snack or breakfast.
