This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have been to in the state. The food is complex and flavorful. It is presented beautifully, and looks like some of the pictures posted online. I will gladly make the hour drive to come back and enjoy this food again in the future!

My favorite Mexican restaurant is Luis’s Mexican Cuisine in Eden, Utah. He moved to Eden from Morgan a few years ago. The food is clean and fresh. He is a talent chef who pays attention to the details that I appreciate.

This place is AMAZING. Best food and salsa around and well priced. We all left stuffed and still wanting to eat more. Dee Johnson who posted below obviously does not know the alcohol laws in Utah.

One of the best Mexican places in Utah. It’s a little off the main road, but it’s worth it. The food is amazing and well priced for the quality. We would absolutely go back.

This is not a ‘run of the mill’ Mexican restaurant. The prices are more than what you’d expect at a mexican restaurant so when I first got the menu, I thought, “Who do these guys think they are?” (On a side note, the lunch prices are lower than advertised in the menu but the menu didn’t reflect the decreases) Our server came with chips and 3 house salsas that were perfectly balanced with flavor. There is a fresh Pico, a creamy tomatillo/avocado, and a 3rd that I believe was a sort of Mole salsa that I’m not familiar with. The latter being my favorite.
I ordered the Chile Relleno served in a Poblano pepper. Just like the salsas, the flavor was perfectly balanced. Nothing was too salty/spicy/overbearing in any way. The friend I was with ordered a burrito of some sort. The burrito was served, cut in-half. The ingredients were hearty enough that it didn’t slop all over the place, unlike your typical mexican-style burrito.
Luis is a top-shelf chef and fully deserves the prices he is asking for. He exhibits to me the difference between someone who opens a restaurant to make money and someone that does it out of pure passion and the joy of feeding people.
Make an excuse to go to Eden and enjoy Luis’s cooking!

Luis’ is a favorite! Although the Eden location has closed, visit Sabores de Mexico on 25th street in Ogden (in the old Greyhound bus station) where Luis has transformed a city icon into some of the best eats in town!
