I was born and raised in the Bronx. I moved to Phoenix in 2008 I opened the first restaurant in Phoenix on 27th Ave and Thomas in 2011. I’ve been serving food for 10 years now. If you want authentic Puerto Rican food, this is the spot. Everything we tried was delicious. We had mofongo, pernil, arroz con gandules, chicharon de pollo, tostones, empanadillas de carne molida y queso y alcapurrias. Was soooo good we went back the next day and tried the pinchos de pollo. The flavors took us back to the island. Thank you for bringing a little bit of flavor from the island all the way to Arizona.

We got lunch here. The flavor was on point!! The portions were super big and the prices were the most reasonable we have seen from any of the food trucks in Phoenix that serve Puerto Rican food. The owner served us and made us feel like we had known him even though we just met him. Absolutely recommended!!!! Wepa!

I ordered half the menu and everything was on point. My first generation Puerto Rican mom came to visit and she was blown away. It reminded me of my grandmother and her cooking, almost brought a tear to my eye. Alberto is the man and treated my mom like it was his family. Cannot wait to go back.

I recently placed a catering order with El New Yorican Puerto Rican food truck and everything was absolutely on point. The yellow rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked the pernil Was tender juicy in season just right and the pasteles were incredible. They were rich, authentic and clearly made with care. You can tell solo puts pride into his food. The flavors felt like home, and the quality was consistent across the entire order my guest love it and I have people asking where the food came from. We had El New Yorican cater our baby shower appetizers and it was amazing. We had Rellenas de Papa and Empanadas and they were so delicious. Our guests enjoyed the unique flavors of the empanadas, which were full of meat and also had some cheese inside! Yum! Everyone loves Papas, so those of course went so fast. Its basically a potato ball with meat inside. Very delicious. We had about 65 people and every one of our guests was very very satisfied. If your looking for someone to cater an event or party with some nice Latin Caribbean flavor, look no further than the best Puerto Rican Food Truck in the Valley, El New Yorican!

I finally found a true taste of New York Puerto Rican food right here in Arizona, and WOW — this food truck did not disappoint! The pernil was incredibly tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. It had that authentic home-cooked flavor that’s so hard to find out here. The beef and cheese empanadas were fire as well! The service was incredible, the portions were generous, and everything tasted super fresh. If you’re craving real Puerto Rican comfort food, this truck is a MUST!

Great Puerto Rican food served by a genuinely friendly guy. It’s evident he truly cares about the quality of the food and customer satisfaction. He gave samples of the coconut flan and pork as I was a first time customer. Both were fantastic. Ended up getting pollo, tostones, empanada, and replenished papas, with coconut clan for dessert.

We came all the way from Queen Creek to visit because we have been on a search for great PR food in AZ since we moved from Chicago two years ago. The owner, Alberto, was so welcoming and offered us some samples as it was our first time there. What can I say other than THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We tried quite a few different dishes: pernil con arroz y gandules, carne frita con arroz blanco y frijoles negros, alcapurrias, empanada, relleno de papa, flan, pastelillos de guava, kola champagne and a coco rico! I am not kidding when I say we ate every bit of this! We had the alcapurria first and it was PHENOMENAL! The empanada and its shell/crust was perfection. The flavors were soooo darn good on every dish that we are already planning our next trip. I usually take pictures of every dish but we were so eager I forgot the pics. This just means we will need to go back soon and I will add another review with pictures. Alberto, we’d love to have your food truck in Queen Creek if you ever have the opportunity!
