Out for a drive on this beautiful Easter Sunday I happened to stop for a break. Restaurant was across the street, menu looked great.
I ended up landing on the French dip sandwich, and boy was that a good decision. Delicious meal!! The au jus was by far the best I’ve had in my life! Meat was tender and juicy. Fries, perfectly crunchy and nice. Cole slaw was great too.
So, stop here for some take out, walk across the street and eat at the table by the reservoir. A meal to remember for sure!!

Ok the award to cutest condiments goes to bass water grill. Just cute beyond words. Wife had the Boston scrod and said it was fabulous. I had the broasted chicken which caused controversy. Being southern born and bred I considered it fried chicken. Upon further investigation broasted chicken is fried chicken under pressure. Similar to how KFC does it. The chicken was very hot in temp but not a lot of flavor. Something which I couldn’t figure out was missing. I assume the chicken was brined before cooking as it was moist. Maybe they used a low or no salt version. No idea. I would get the scrod next time. I assume the broasted is just a local favorite. Bonus cuteness at the end. Wife asked for Togo cup of water. She got dinosaur cups.

We were there for my parents 50th anniversary party. CLASSY!!! We had approximately 50 people and an upscale buffet. I thought it was very reasonably priced. Service was exceptional, very polite and the food was tremendous. I would recommend for any party or gathering!

Really nice place. I found this wonderful jem on a weekend of tag sales. I enjoyed it so much that I took my mother to lunch the next day, even though it is a but of a distance for me. I would have given 5 stars but our burgers were a bit underdone for our liking. Ordered medium rare and they were very rare but all in all I enjoyed going twice in the same weekend.

I was given a gift card from this place and I decided to try the food.
I ordered the fish , oh it was delicious, I only found 1 bone in all the fish. I do recommend that you do not eat all the bread or corn bread and wait for your plate to arrive.
I did put only 4 because the salad was not fresh at all. That was the only thing I found that was lacking. Everything else it was good. The service was also good. This place has an open full bar, you are able to order whatever you want. We ordered white Moscato wine and it was good. It was a good compliment with the fish.
I recommend this place.

This was our first time at this restaurant. It seemed to be a little understaffed. It took several minutes for us to be greeted, which made us nervous. Due to COVID arrangements and walking in without reservations, we were sat in the banquet hall. Our waitress “T” apologized for the wait as things were not exactly going as planned that evening. I tried their seafood chowder and the baked scallop specials. I thought both were delicious. Our family enjoyed everything we ordered. We were given warm bread and butter while we waited. Tenderloin tips, mac and cheese, and broasted chicken were all really tasty. If you order any entree it comes with soup or salad and at least one side. All of the meals are modestly priced, and probably priced a little low for what comes with each meal. At one point, while T had several tables between the bar area and banquet hall, she brought refills for sodas without us asking for them. T did a great job as our server despite being sat with multiple tables back to back. We were all really satisfied with our visit! I would definitely come back.

We always eat in the bar area. It’s a relaxing space. We have a great waitress we know personally who is right there for us. And I’ve never had a bad meal there. I had the brisket sandwich last night and it absolutely melted in my mouth. And we had the nachos for appetizers and they are so good. They put the chili in a bowl in the middle so the nachos stay nice and crisp.

Save your money and eat anywhere else. Not a single thing done right. Sticky floors, waitress didn’t know what she was doing, waited ages just for appetizer, then another age for entrees. Food was bland and plain, but prices like fine dining. We had a food allergy in our group, which was explained clearly, but the waitress didn’t know enough to communicate with the chef what our needs were. Afterwards, head waitress comes over to scold us for not knowing that the meal came with items that were not mentioned on the menu. Couldn’t pay me to go back.
