Fun sandwich place with a cool theme. We like the surfer vibe and the bread is delicious! There are so many unique sandwiches to choose from or build your own! Each 6in is cut in half so its easy to make multiple small sandos for kiddos. They also have a 17min DESTROYER CHALLENGE if you are really hungry!!!! They also have weekly daily deals. The staff are knowledgable and super friendly!

Still makes an excellent sandwich after all these years. Soft bread, quality ingredients, friendly service, with indoor and outdoor seating.

I am craving Kona’s Deli today. I was a student at Poly and would hit this place all the time – now I stop by every time I’m in town. The best sandos! Great team. Awesome location. Miss you guys lots, see you soon. Much love! ❤️

I’ll definitely be back! The sandwich makers and cashiers gave excellent recommendations and made incredible sandwiches. I got thre Hank with dutch crunch bread; it had a good spicy flavor. My husband got the long board. It was easy to find parking in the back and we were able to sit on this nice patio

I just had Kona’s for the first time in probably 20 years. I’m extremely happy to say that my sandwich today was just as good, if not better, than how I remember them being. When I was in highschool, I would stop by their old location in downtown SLO occasionally and swore they were the best sandwiches I’d ever had. At some point they moved and I lost track of them, but today I’ve rediscovered them and I’m hooked once again, and so is my wife! Great job Kona’s team for making some amazing sandwiches and keeping the vibe just as chill as it’s ever been. Super great customer service as well!!

Konas Deli is one of the best deli places I have ever been. The white bread is so good. It tastes a bit like a Kings Hawaiian roll. The meat and cheese are so fresh and delicious. I am obsessed and will come here every single time I visit SLO. They offer friendly service, clean bathrooms and great indoor/outdoor seating.

This place is Ahhh-mazing!! Gluten free, local, and regular bread options!! They will change gloves and sando making counter/slicer if you need GF contamination lowered! Great sando selection. Yummy drinks, some alcohol. Indoor and outdoor seating and specials each day!! Happy hour too only really great sando place in SLO still IMO. Can be very busy weeks surrounding when The College Kids come back

I’ve been eating at Kona’s since the mid-1990s, and after all these years, one thing hasn’t changed—they make a great sandwich. The tuna is top-tier, the deli meats are always fresh, the bread is delicious, and even the soda fountain hits just right (they must keep that machine extra clean). My only gripe? They close way too early! Some of us like a sandwich for dinner, and unless I remember to grab one before they shut down on the weekend (and stash it in the fridge like a sandwich squirrel), I’m out of luck. If they stayed open later, they’d definitely get even more of my money. Longtime loyal fan—and still going strong.

They’re Super Expensive…….. I’ve known this sandwich deli shop since 1989, I remember the original owners. It was good back them but today while admire the new owners to keep it going, the prices are just too high. When you think about it, there’s no waiter, you don’t have to leave a tip, only two or three employees possibly, the parking is iffy but their overhead it’s not like they have huge cost to tack on to the customer to give them the excuse to charge more money. It’s sad because the sandwiches don’t look that big at all when you spend $15 to $20 for just one sandwich, that’s very expensive.
