Went here for dinner and had a pretty solid experience overall. It’s one of those sleek, upscale spots tucked into midtown. We had a reservation, which I’d recommend, because the place gets busy. Ambience? Super classy with a cozy, welcoming vibe.
Heads up: parking’s a bit of a pain. Not much space, so plan accordingly.
We kicked things off with some house cocktails—honestly, really well done. Mine packed a punch (borderline too strong), but still tasty. For starters, we tried their California guac with crabmeat. Interesting combo. The crab added a nice texture and fancy twist, though it could’ve used a touch more seasoning.
For mains, I had the lobster roll, and my friend went with the Mahi Mahi. Portions looked small at first glance, but surprisingly, we were both full by the end. Lobster roll was decent, not mind-blowing, but the fries? Chef’s kiss. Perfectly crisp and seasoned just right. The Mahi Mahi dish was pretty good.
Wrapped things up with an Italian lime cake that was straight-up fantastic. Loved the subtle sweetness and that not-too-creamy frosting. BUT—and here’s the letdown—the dessert plates were cracked. At a place like this, that’s a big no-no. Kinda killed the final impression.

We chose Hen House because it was close, had a good Google rating, and poutine was on the menu (we thought, from said reviews.) Plus, when we called to ask about parking the horse trailer we were hauling, the guy in the phone had good vibes and was funny. The atmosphere was festive (they had just decorated for christmas) and the bathroom was super clean and very cool. Gabrielle was our waiter and he was AMAZING! Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable! While they didn’t have poutine, we did get the crispy Brussels with hot honey, salmon dip, strawberry fields salad (with yummy fried goat cheese balls), pasta carbonara, and the birria grilled cheese. Everything was delicious. I thought I won dinner with the grilled cheese because the au jus served with it was *chef’s kiss* We also had French pressed coffee (with real cream!) & a fun coconut hot cocoa for our younger companion. We finished with a lemon creme cake, which was dreamy and moist. This place had the trifecta: great atmosphere, great service & great food. We will definitely be back! We were sooooo hungry that no pics were taken ♀️

So I will say this is a really cute spot to knock off your bucket list! Great kick back spot for after work or a girls day out. Really cute decor & the service is top tier! However the food is pretty basic & not all that good. I’ve been twice & both times the guac tasted extremely fishy. The Caesar salad was ok. Hard to get a salad wrong. And I love a good flatbread but theirs was pretty underwhelming. Now the drinks are cute, but not really worth the price. I’ve tried a few of their cocktails and they all have been good with the exception of the espresso martini which is super sweet. Also I think $20 for a shot of Tequila is a bit excessive. They only serve one brand of Tequila & it’s not one I’m familiar with. Again a cute spot just to visit & have drinks but not really one I’d frequent. Maybe if they revised their food menu that would be helpful.

All of the food was amazing. The staff are Amazing too. Great group of people. this place is such a cool spot. If you go, I highly recommend requesting to be seated in the room to the right, it’s a whole vibe! We stopped in to check this out on our last night of a work trip and we were not disappointed.

Hen house was AMAZING!!! The staff members are great, food is delicious, and vibes are there! Oh and the drinks are awesome too. We hosted a celebration at the restaurant and rented it out, and it was nothing short of fabulous!! Perfect for all sorts of occasions. THANK YOU to the amazing staff for getting this set up for us!

This place is an absolute delight. Our server Gabe was top notch. I brought my granddaughter in for our girls day out and we ordered some delicious strawberry lemonade that came out in martini glasses and made it so fancy and fun. I love the decor. It’s truly over the top. I can’t wait to return when I am in area to try more of the tasty food.

It was the best decision to spend my birthday celebration here. The food and drink were amazing. Service was fast and friendly. The decoration was beautiful. Our favorite dishes were the Sticky Thai Wings, Pasta Carbonara, Truffle Fries, and Lobster Roll. Less favorite were the Egg-rolls and Fried Chicken Sandwich. The Egg-rolls were too oily and no flavor. The chicken in sandwich was burnt so bad. BUT… overall, everything was still perfect for the night.

I absolutely love this place! I love the ambience and the cocktails. I brought my fiancé for the first time here because of the great bourbon selection. Matthew is a phenomenal bartender! Ask for him! He recommended the Weller 12 year! He makes the absolute best Old Fashioned! My fiancé had the Weller 12 and I had the Oaxaca! We’ll be returning soon!!! Highly recommend if you’re a bourbon connoisseur.

The food, and customer service is absolutely wonderful!!!! May very well be the best in the city. The burger, and fries were hot, fresh, well seasoned, and perfect in every way! The bartender was very much so attentive, and on point. The only negative about the experience was the cocktails they are extremely weak, and under measurement guidelines. My suggesting is to come for the food, not the drinks. Best burger in the city and well managed!….
