I was really looking forward to trying this food. As a Haitian, I was excited to finally have the chance to enjoy some good Haitian food while being stuck in Indiana. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed today, which I’m assuming was due to the weather.
I did try calling for information, but the experience over the phone was disappointing. The person who answered seemed very rude—when I asked a simple question, she took a deep breath and hung up on me.
I understand closures happen, especially with weather, but the customer service over the phone could have been handled much better. I hope to give it another try in the future under better circumstances.

If you want to try something different this place has some good food. If you like a little spice you will love this food. They have great chicken, and they also have Oxtail for something you don’t find some here often. They just opened in the Main Street Food and Beverage Hall in Downtown Evansville by the Old National Events Plaza and the courthouse. They are very friendly and the food was delicious

I will definitely be returning here! I was not the biggest fan of the pork because a high percentage of it was fatty, however the vegetables and sauce were to die for! I plan on coming back again to try the other dishes I may enjoy more. The staff is super friendly and the portion sizes are enough to keep leftovers.
I recommend trying this place out for some unique and authentic Carribbean dishes!

Absolutely delicious! They might have the best fried pork I’ve ever tried. So good. The plantains, slaw, and rice were amazing. And there was some kind of pink/purple potato’ish salad. Not sure exactly what it was, but it was delicious, too! Glad I stumbled upon this place while passing through!

Haitian food is really good so this review is not about the food. It’s about the customer service. I called to order food and they were extremely rude and dismissive. As I was ordering, they hung up on me twice and the last time they said “we don’t speak English, call another restaurant” and hung up. This was very unfortunate because I love Haitian food and was so surprised to see a restaurant in this area. You must do better people at Mickey.
