Went there on a Saturday night to see “Whatever Nevermind” a Nirvana cover band. The owner stopoed to talk with me a bit and was great in helped the staff all night. I did not eat so I can’t speak for the food but it looked and smelled great.

Amazing food, great service, and a vibe that just feels right. The owner’s always around chatting with guests, which makes it feel super welcoming. Between bingo, karaoke, trivia, and live bands, there’s always something fun going on. Easily one of the best spots in town!

Awesome awesome bar! Staff is so kind and attentive. They are very friendly. Bingo Wednesdays are awesome. If you love Bingo, good food, great people, and just a good time, this is your place to go. Was my first time here and I will definitely be back next Wednesday. First impression was really good. I will bring more people your way for sure. And they have events daily from Kareoke to Open Mic to Live Bands. definitely come to this fun little bar in Palatine!

Our favorite place!! The food is excellent, the drinks are strong and the entertainment is always top notch. No matter when you go, the bands are always great. The staff are so welcoming, you feel like you’re coming home every time you step in the door!!

Madcats opened in 2021 and has had many events. As I type, the most recent was a Fleetwood Mac cover band that did very well. The place is small and was packed. People really enjoyed. There’s even a small dancing area up front. The food and drink are fine. Servers work hard. There’s a section where you can’t really see the stage (about 25% of the inside area) though.

Madcatz might have good vibes and friendly people, but the kitchen is a total nightmare. The woman who cooks is constantly sitting at the bar, glued to her phone, touching her face, hair, and mouth — then walks right into the kitchen and starts handling food with those same filthy hands. No handwashing, no gloves, nothing. She’s even on her phone inside the kitchen while prepping food, which makes it even worse. Then she comes right back out to the bar like it’s totally normal.

It’s honestly gross and unacceptable. Management should be embarrassed to let that happen. Come for a drink if you must, but do yourself a favor — don’t eat anything here. Ever.
