The calamari appetizer was actually really good, not the usual freezer kind, which was a nice surprise. That said, it really should come with marinara instead of tartar sauce, which didn’t quite fit IMO.
Skip the $5 cheesy toast. The menu makes it sound special, but it’s just very plain potato-style bread with a slice of cheese and Cajun seasoning … nothing fresh or house made about it.
I ordered the fettuccine with shrimp. The sauce had good flavor, but the noodles were overcooked, and the shrimp were small, frozen shrimp with no tail, which was disappointing. My husband had the cod fish and chips, and unfortunately they were soggy, with oil dripping and the batter sliding right off the fish.
Service wise, we felt very rushed. From being seated to paying the bill and leaving was 39 minutes total, including drinks appetizers and entres, which made the whole experience feel more like being pushed through than enjoying a meal.
Some potential here, but overall it felt overpriced and underwhelming for what we got, especially with the way they describe things on the menu.
I probably won’t ever go back and not much to recommend. Meh

Service was fast and friendly. Walked passed the restaurant a few times due to poor signing. Food below average.
Fish n chips blend no seasoning at all. Could’ve used more fry time.
Chower is thick but that’s about it. More of a Campbells soup flavor. If you ever been to Marie’s Diner in Wells, MA no comparison.
My fries were the only thing perfect.

My husband and I went to Norma’s Seafood & Steak in Seaside, Oregon because he was craving both steak and crab . He ordered the steak and crab dinner, and I had a bowl of clam chowder — which was absolutely delicious! We also shared two glasses of wine.
The food was good, and the service was pleasant, but the prices were definitely on the higher side — our total came to $230 for two people.
If you’re in Seaside and want to enjoy a cozy dinner with fresh seafood and steak, it’s worth trying — just be prepared for fine-dining prices.

My friend and I went here for dinner last night. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and let us ask many questions about all the market rates for the evening. Suggested wine that was tasty.
My friend and I each had an oyster, split the full crab with a baked potato, salad, side of chowder and steamed vegetables. The crab was on the verge of being overcooked. The vegetables and potato were just warm when served. The side salad is lettuce and baby shrimp so would pass on that next time. And the chowder was good, just needed pepper and salt. But the bread was warm, soft, and perfect.
It was a bit on the pricey side but to be expected in a town like this. Also very similar to all businesses like it in the area. The steak next to us looked fabulous. I think I would get the surf and turf or the pasta if we visit again!

Clam Chowder was the highlight of dinner for me. Service was fast. Seafood Linguine was good. Fish and Chips were okay-ish, I think a little greasy and lacking flavor. $100 for 3 of us.

Place has gone down hill as far as food goes. We love this place normally. We always cone here when in seaside. Today we experienced the worst meal ever. Take a look at the coleslaw! The cod was crumbly and squishy, as it was supposed to be crispy.

Everyone who worked there was really nice, and the ambience was welcoming and homey, but overall the food just wasn’t great in my opinion.
The portion sizes are large, and the chowder is good. We got the fish n chips combo with tuna, salmon, halibut, and cod. The fish was okay, but there was waaaay too much breading (we were not given the option to get it lightly breaded). We also got the captain’s platter, grilled, but all the meat was soggy and tasted like it had been sauteed instead.

Great seafood, lots of choices, I have combination seafoods, and have also options for grilled or whatever you wanted included the 2 slice of bread. the Fettuccine Alfredo great and the Steam clam. Just to make sure if the server ask you what do you like salad, bread or clam chowder. make sure that is free. Or better to ask. Great service Thank you Ms. Joanne C for always asking how we are doing and politely asking multiple times.

Service was amazing! We had Alexis and she was very kind, quick, and thoughtful. We just had dinner literally half an hour ago. I have a large family and the food came out pretty quick. My loaded baked potato was delicious and extra loaded like I asked. The clam chowder really was one of the best I’ve had. The color pages for the kids was awesome. The fries weren’t very crispy, but that’s a very minor complaint. The tater sauce was yummy too. Thanks for a great evening! Beautiful building.
