So.Where do I even start. I wanted to love this place as it has held so many great memories of dinners after a nice day on the lake… but this will be the last time I am going back.
For a place under new ownership they really need to consider reevaluating the direction they want to go in. As of now it projected to crash and burn. The service was horrible and the pizza was a glorified pita chip with cheese. For the amount of money we paid for two pizzas and a side of fries (80+) I was extremely disappointed in the quality.
If I could, 0/10. Stay away!

We love visiting Captain’s Cove and are always grateful for the consistent quality of the food, service, and selection. Like any popular spot, there can be a bit of a wait during peak times, but the staff is attentive, keeping drinks topped off and checking in along the way.
What we appreciate most is how it’s become a true gathering place. Whether we’re meeting friends and family for a casual night out or just stopping in after a long day on the lake (or at work) to skip cooking. It’s such a gift to have a welcoming place like this in our small lake community.

On our first visit, opening weekend, we just got take out pizza and it was pretty good but there were a few flaws so we waited a while to go back.
Well, we recently went back and our waitress(the red head) was really great. We really enjoyed the pizza (crust is nice), however, we ordered it ahead of the rest of our food so the kiddos could eat first and I think the cooks forgot about it because we got it way after the other food. Our waitress kept apologizing about the delay and ended up comping it. Because the kids ate our fries while waiting, we took the pizza home. The chicken panini @$20 and the beer battered fish and chips @$22 were good but not special and both over priced as many of the menu items are in my opinion.
We’ll probably just get pizza next time and hopefully they will have worked out the kitchen kinks and it won’t take so long.

Ok, new ownership of this spot is welcome but you can’t charge this level of price and deliver terrible service over and over. Our party of 3 ordered Calimari, Wedge Salad, a basic Hamburger and Medium pizza along with 2 beers and a Dr. Pepper. Our server disappeared for about 30 minutes. No refills nothing. Food runners ran most of the food and when our server finally returned, he asked if we wanted our check. I said no but I’d like the pizza we ordered. He blamed the kitchen never asked about refilling our clearly empty drinks and seemed put out about voiding the pizza we never got. First review but second time our experience disappointed us. Probably be awhile before we give them another chance. Food was ok but when you charge $8 a beer, it should be cold and put an orange slice in a Blue Moon or Sunny Daze.

Went on Father’s day. Juliette gave awesome service. The food was really good.
We had a chicken caesar salad, a cheese pizza and a calzone.
And of course, you always run into friends when you’re in there. I’m so grateful to have a place that’s good and welcoming for us locals to go to.
