I love The Sub Station near UCR. Place has been around for decades and been owned by the same guy. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is why I keep coming back. Best of all is now they’re on Door Dash and I can get it delivered to me in La Sierra even being 10 miles away. I love their tuna salad (some of the best and freshest tasting tuna), as well as their Italian Sub and of course their famous “The Big Dude”. I get all my subs dressed with their house seasonings and mix of vinegar/oil, delicious!

I have been craving for the sub station ever since I graduated back in 2023. It is the best sandwich I ever had. I would always tell my co-workers in the Bay Area if we can a break from work just to fly down here for the sandwich. I can not find any sandwich as good as the sub station in the Bay Area.
The sub station regularly has promotions for students at UCR, which I love because not only you’re getting a delicious lunch, you’re also supporting a local family business.
My go to sandwich is #11. Because I don’t know when is the next time I would come down to the UC Riverside area, I had to get the Big Dude, which is adding pepperoni to #11.
I should’ve ordered a whole entire 12 inch for myself because normally I would eat half, but I was splitting it. It’s so good that I need another one.
Will be back when I’m in the area again. Thank you for the most delicious sandwich in the world.

Amazing sandwiches. Love the Big Dude! Today I ordered the avocado sub and requested to add pickles. The service is great and always clean. I’ve been coming here for 25 years!

I was served by Richard the owner and the customer service was rude. I grabbed ice cream and he told me I highly doubt you’re going to eat that right now so you might as well put it back. Then he asked me if I was done ordering and he said I think you ordered quite enough. He could have been trying to be funny but I didn’t like it. His wording could have been better like you can grab the ice cream when you’re done eating so it won’t melt or you will get full enjoy your meal. I only ordered 2 sandwiches a drink and ice cream for two people. I had the chicken pesto with peppers sandwich the chicken was not as good as times before. Some pieces were fatty or hard spots the quality was not all there. I enjoyed this spot but I don’t know if I’ll be back.

I’ve been going to the Sub Station since my collage days 50 years ago, and I still go out of my way to stop by for a sandwich whenever I get the chance. Their Hot Pastrami is the best ever! There is nothing like a sipping a cold beer while waiting for and enjoying your sandwich. And, I’ve been there so often over the years for take-out, I have their phone number memorized…the sandwiches are that good!

first time here, ordered the “The Big Dude” 7in came out to $11. I hear it’s their most selling sub. It’s okay it’s not bad BUT ITS WHATS IT HYPE TO BE . it’s just a regular sandwich. I’m sure they have better on the menu , will be going back to try something else

ive gone here twice in the last week and the sandwiches absolutely banged each time. the “big dude” and the “pizzawich” sandwiches are so dang good it’s criminal. everyone working there is an absolute delight as well. wonderful place, highly recommend it
