Amazing fresh Quality food, Reasonable prices, Fast and Friendly service!!! This place is probably the best sushi spot in Sheepshead Bay by a pretty great margin. I have been going to Chikurin consistently for probably at least the last 10 years (maybe more…) Five 5 stars!!! Would recommend it to anyone and everyone!!!

The california rolls are not worth. In the pictures, they jam packed the roll with cucumber and there’s a small sliver of crab meat I was really dissapointed. The salmon avocado was okay though. The salmon was pretty fresh, the avocado was a bit old.

I have been going to Chikurin consistently for probably at least the last 10 years. I even remember whenever my family would take me here if I graduated high school or college. This place is probably the best sushi spot in Sheepshead Bay by a pretty great margin.
The sushi is always extremely fresh and the cooked appetizers are incredible and delicious. I always appreciate the hot tea and the iced water, and the exceptionally fast and speedy, attentive service. The quality of the food is superb and the variety of cocktails makes Chikurin a hit for all ages. I especially appreciate the oyster selection as well.
I highly recommend this spot for all sushi and lovers of Asian cuisine. You can’t beat the quality of sushi at this affordable price point.

We used to be a well know customers of this place for years. It was absolutely a great place with a delicious food and amazing and friendly service… But unfortunately not anymore. Food is below average as well as a service. I should give a 1 star for service but trying to be gentle. It looks like owner is changed

This restaurant has been a local favorite since the beginning. Our favorite Japanese restaurant, we have been eating there for over 10 years.
We normally dine-in but they are quite popular with takeouts & deliveries, all fish is always fresh
& large selection of special rolls.
We literally tried their whole menu, over the years. Our all-time favorite is Sashimi deluxe, salmon & tuna tartare & they also have a salad version with avocado.
For this visit we had foie gras & tuna toro appetizers , AK-47 special roll, salmon skin salad , few pieces of white tuna & salmon sashimi. All delicious & beautiful presentation. Salmon skin has been over-grilled last few visits though.
Green tea ice cream is always amazing as well.

We’ve walked past this place so many times and honestly still can’t understand why we never came in before. What a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the sushi is fresh and delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Everything we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared.

Absolutely a jewel, first timer, was looking for great sushi and found this place, it owned by women and it shows! Service is absolutely on point, fast, kind, family owned, and managed, as it shows throughout.
knowledgeable staff, foods come out in the correct order, the menu is vast, and caters to everyone, whichever you prefer, the chef is accommodating, and made specialty sushi rolls, without crab just for me!
