I first started eating here over 15 years ago and the food and service has always been great! I hadn’t been in a while up until the last couple weeks and I swear they’re General Tsos Chicken and crab rangoons have gotten even better. Always a good choice.

So I really want to love the food here because it is so convenient, but it’s never great, but always acceptable. Take out Chinese is tough in this area for some reason. Good amount of food for the price.

The only thing good were the fortune cookies. I ordered Shrimp & broccoli….BLAND. No flavor! They didn’t even put the brown sauce on it. The filling in the crab ragoons was thin & bland. I ordered sweet & sour Shrimp….they gave me sweet & sour chicken.

Went to Lotus Cuisine II tonight on a whim as I was shopping next door at Harris Teeter. This was my 3rd time ever ordering from this restaurant. Walked in, placed my order and added $2 for a drink as I saw they had a Pepsi cooler. After paying, I go to the cooler and there is no Peps or Diet Pepsi….just water, apple juice, and a couple other non soda options that I would rather not have with chinese food. Then I recalled this happened to me before a couple months ago at this location….so I mentioned to the lady behind the counter that the drink options were scarce, and she said they “ran out”. I almost went back to Harris Teeter or CVS to buy a Pepsi or Coke but decided not to. Remaining options in the cooler were water, apple juice, diet mountain dew, diet green tea.
With that said….the main reason I write this review is that I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, brought it home, and it was bland and rubbery. I was a little bummed about the drink options, but I was really displeased and ended up tossing out my food….just plain and simple it was not a good experience overall.
I live pretty close and had hopes this might be a reliable go-to, but I have serious doubts and I’m not likely going back and will look for better options even if it means a longer drive.

Very good take out. Had pork egg foo young & shrimp with lobster sauce. Wonton was tasty, broth a bit bland. Definitely will go back.

Tried this place bc it is otw home from work. Every item we ordered was delicious, great prices and the guy that takes orders was so kind and helpful! Pickup was a breeze. I like that they have hard to find items like egg foo young and lemon chicken!

This is the only spot in the entire City that does Chinese take out the way NYC does it. Highly recommend!

I love this place! When I am working out this way I always order pickup from here. The gentleman who answers the phone is one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to when ordering food. He is just as nice in person as well. I love the sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and the chicken lo mein. Egg rolls are great also.

Must be new owners. I had the General Tso’s Shrimp w sauce on the side. The Shrimp were huge and fried perfectly. Shrimp Egg Foo Yung is awesome, Lo Mein ( I tasted his) very very good. Clean, great service, very nice!
